MyStuff with Barclaycard

Options
I've just recently got a Barclay card and they want to offer me a free Video MP3 player with a thing called mystff free 30 day trial ( think it's like insurance for goods such as mobile phones and ipods) you can cancel after the 30 day period and the MP3 player remains your's free.....

Has anyone done this before, and should i go for it....?

  • They've offered me £40 in petrol vouchers.
  • They offered me the free video player. They say you can cancel anytime during the 30 day trial period using a freephone number. I'm sending my slip away today and as soon as I get the pack I'm calling to cancel. They do say there's no obligation to continue with mystuff and its yours to keep so I'm going for it.
To be honest the video player is non branded and is only 1gb and they cost next to nothing to buy from Ebay, its probably only a month's subscription pays for the unit so why not go for it.

I've received this same offer from Barclaycard this morning.
Has anyone taken up the offer? And if so, was there any comeback once you cancelled the MyStuff plan?
    Thanks in advance.

If you search youll find a few people have.

Its been a week since I sent it back. My stuff ends the trial on the 4th March, and will do cancel before then. just doing it for the free mp3.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"
  • Did anyone receive this video MP3 player?
    Is it any good?

  • hi, thanks for the number

i rang them this morning, and they are going to refund my first 2 months subscriptions, that have already been charged to my barclaycard, and send me a welcome pack out, which will enable me to claim my free gift of any mp3 player.

and i can still cancel before the charge me the first subscription

so i will wait and see waht turns up

I'm the same - and thanks for the number. Same response for me . . . refunded 2mths payment, refresh of 30-day trial and the 'welcome pack' will be sent out "again", enabling the claiming of mp3 player.

p.s. whatever you do, don't try and go to the 'dot com' version of what you might think would be the 'mystuff' website, unless you're an avid and adult reader of the 'Sport' type of newspaper! (The .co.uk version doesn't work either - poor marketing decision there!)
    This too, shall pass.
