Accessing contacts on broken iPhone
Options
Hi all
My daughter has an iPhone 5s which is broken insofar as the screen won't work. In her wisdom, she didn't back up the contacts to iCloud and they're not on her SIM card. Is there any way that I can get the contacts from the phone? (I know the answer here is 'no' but it's worth a shot!0.
Thanks for looking.

I would buy a cheap screen and replace it. Your problem is going to be entering the passcode and hitting trust when connecting it to a computer to do an iTunes backup. Screens are about £15 on Amazon or eBay0

There is some skill with replacing screens though.
So if you don’t think you know what to do, you prob can’t.
There are guides in YouTube.
If the touch function works that is probably work a go.
Ie connecting to a pc and blindly pressing areas in the screen to accept connection.
If you have other iPhone in-house in will help a lot.0 -
If the screen is completely unresponsive, your only option is to replace it. As already mentioned replacement can be bought off amazon/Ebay for £15ish and includes all the tools. Obviously the quality isn't great, but you don't really care about that. Then it's "only" 39 "easy" steps:

Anyone with average dexterity can do it following the guide. It just need some care with the delicate connections.
It might be worth checking with Apple support if they have some workaround in the Apple store, like a device to connect via the lightning port etc.0 -
Can it not be backed up to iTunes?0

you need to approve the itunes connection these days
by pressing the screen0
