Small claims court with parking eye

Last April I took my friend to Cardiff university hospital for an appointment. We were running late and lower grounds of the car park were pretty full so we parked at the top of the car park.
Maximum stay is 4hours. We were at the car park for 2 and a half hours. I received a ticket from parking eye and I appealed this sending them proof of appointment and that we were allowed to park for free under 4 hours. Since then they have decided to take me to small claims court. After showing my friend the letter it states that the fine is for parking in the staff section at the hospital. Where I’m dyslexic I obviously did not notice this on original letter. I also suffer from a personality disorder and am on heavy medication which causes me a lot of confusion and other side effects (especially when trying to read) what can I do to fight this? The letter also has the option for mediation.

Hi, you will need to read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread and follow the advice. Due to your medical conditions I recommend a family member or friend reads it with you so you can take the necessary steps without any confusion.

What is the issued date on the top right of the claim?

Have you acknowledged it using the password yet, on MCOL?

Acronyms are all in post #5 of the NEWBIES sticky thread.

I assume you failed to complain to PALS to get the pcn cancelled ?

presumably you also failed to appeal to Parking Eye or subsequently to POPLA ?

the above should have been done as soon as the NTK arrived

do what coupon mad said above, plus post the ISSUE DATE from that claim form below

It was issued on the 10/4/2019 which is 5 days after the incident. Ok thank you I will try and give that a read.

Due to the medical condition you mentioned already, for your own sake you will need someone to help you read our advice.

so I’ve checked relevant evidence and when entering the car park it states “patient & visitor car park only” there is no mention of staff car park until You get to the top of the car park. My sister who is pretty smart has tried looking through this for me but she doesn’t seem to understand the Newbies thread

Is your sister smart enough to answer the question that both Coupon-mad and Redx have both asked more than once?

Today I have received a mediation letter before going to court. Is it possible you send me a quick DM so I can show you my evidence and you can tell me weather to just pay the initial fine or fight it with the evidence I have.
I just want to fill in the mediation form and get it all sorted ASAP as it’s causing me lots of anxiety .

Please, please answer the questions you have already been asked.

As for mediation, it goes like this.

They say, pay us lots of money.
    You say, NO!.

    End of mediation.

    It is pointless. Don't bother.

What happened when you complained to PALS/the hospital management?
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D
