Update...
I’ve heard nothing from the dca’s until today when I’ve had a card in an envelope put through the door asking me to call Resolvecall so they have done the doorstep visit while I was at work.
Any advice on what to do?0 -

Hi sourcrates
Do you recommend me sending a letter or still sit quiet and not do anything? The fact that they have turned up at my house is concerning. They must think it’s worth pursuing.
Many thanks in advance.0 -

Presumably the debt is more than just a couple of grand as they as they have actually visited and having been once it wouldn't be a surprise if they called again.0 -

I would say exactly the opposite, they pass debts that they deem otherwise non-collectable, to door step knockers such as resolve call, as its the cheapest way to collect on them, they are paid exclusively on results you see, if they get money out of you, then they get paid, if they don`t get money out of you, they don`t.
Resolve call boys and girls are just self employed collectors, trying to earn a living, just like you and me, so don`t be too harsh on them, they are just ordinary members of Joe public, with no more power than you or I, you can choose to ignore them, film them, put it on you tube, whatever you like, they will soon get tired, go away, and pester someone else.
There is no point trying to talk to the person at the door, they are not interested in your situation, all they want is your money, so its best to avoid them, it may be time to write to Arrow Global (send copy to resolve call as well) stating the facts, mention the judgement, and, if they wish to pursue the matter further, invite them to return to the issuing court and obtain their permission to further enforce the judgement, otherwise you aint paying.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi Adviceneeded1 - just been reading this thread. I’ve just received a letter from Resolvecall threatening a visit. Just wonder if you have any further update on your situation?0

Arrow and Resolvecall have been busy recently. Had letters from both re an egg debt approaching from 2010 (last time I heard directly from egg). There is no CCJ in place and occasionally I receive letters from agencies regarding this but with one exception ignored them and that was around 2012 when I was overseas.
My partner will freak out if we get someone knocking on the door but this is a long time past it's sell by date and one reason I never responded while abroad was they kept upping the debt with interest and charges until it was three time more than my original credit limit.
Reading through these posts it seems the general advice is hold your nerve but I am wondering whether a letter requesting proof of the debt, a statement of the account and a copy of any contract is of any help or simply stirring the hornets?
With Covid 19 nocking thew stuffing out of work and savings right now I would like to minimise stress. All helpful comments appreciated.0 -
Just to add, Resolve Call and Arrow Global Limited - Reconnection have registered offices in different locations, Resolvecall in Scotland, but their phone numbers are the same or differ by one digit - same switchboard quite likely.0
