Any idea how much tax or Vat we would pay on 12k turnover minus 2400 outlay
we can't answer that as we dont know what your total outgoings are, they are not just materials - electricity, fuel, broadband etc. All explained on HMRC websiteYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
I didn't realise we didn't pay Vat below 85k so that's cleared up, do we pay anything else like business rates as we're operating from home.
It depends on the business. If it is a business that requires you to store large quantities of stock at your house or have clients coming several time a day, you could fall foul of the Planning Laws and Building Control Regulations, but generally if it is just the two of you with say an online business working on a computer, then you should not have to do anything special.0
