    we can't answer that as we dont know what your total outgoings are, they are not just materials - electricity, fuel, broadband etc. All explained on HMRC website

    It depends on the business. If it is a business that requires you to store large quantities of stock at your house or have clients coming several time a day, you could fall foul of the Planning Laws and Building Control Regulations, but generally if it is just the two of you with say an online business working on a computer, then you should not have to do anything special.
