Connections on credit file

Hello! I’m new! I’m also very new to credit scores/ratings as I’d like to purchase a property but that’s another story.

I’ve noticed I have three connections on my clear score file. Two being my deceased Mum (one has Mrs and the other doesn’t) and one being my partner.

Once never had joint credit with either, but I do stand to inherit a half share of the property mum owned. My partner has credit as do I but not jointly. Can I find out the reason for there being a connection? I’m not linked to my dad who’s also at the same address. Thanks!

Just file a dispute with each of the CRAs advising them of the error.

They will tell you if there is an association you're not aware of.

Yes sorry. Thank you! So basically if I dispute it then they’ll just tell me why they are there rather than it having any lasting affect on my file?

If the association is removed, it will no longer be visible. Credit files have no memory, so it's as if it was never there.

What happens if I dispute it and they find a reason I haven’t considered. Would that affect it? I just don’t understand why they would be there

If you're financially associated, the the association will remain.

One you no longer have joint products, you can apply for disassociation.

There’s no joint loans or anything so I don’t understand it.
I am mums executor and I wondered if it was because I will own her share of the property once the Will is settled. And my other half could be because we’ve been looking at getting a mortgage
