You in the habit of going through your neighbour's bins? :D

No not at all. It was sitting on a pile of house clearance fly tipping. Seemed a shame not to rescue before it rained. :) Unfortunately the remote was missing. But the Sky card was still present, though sub had expired so no recording facility.

They're not. They're different platforms, and the hardware is completely different (Sky box/Freesat box)

    I really doubt it is.

Thge software maybe and of course without the specs noone is going to port one to the other for testing!

Hardware is pretty generic these days.

Or course if you are on about the molded plastic then go ahead! but The chips inside are much the same.

Now you are just being picky, you know exactly what the other poster was referring to... :)

Good stuff. I don't really expect them to be free to be honest.

I bid him a fiver cash but he says he's looking for Twenty.
    It's Sky+HD Box DRX890 Box + Wi-Fi Box
Don't know if that means anything to anyone?
I don't really know what the Wi-Fi Box does but no doubt one of you will enlighten me ...... ;)

It connects to the internet wirelessly and allows you to download mainly Sky content/Catch up.

The extra functionality won't be much use in your case as you won't have a Sky subscription, though I'm not certain whether BBC iPlayer may still be available or not..

£20 sounds okay as long as the box is in good condition.

BBC iPlayer or any other catch up are not available without a sky subscription

Yes, I said hardware, not components. They're different 'platforms'. There's confusion between them. You can't have FreeSat on a Sky box, and you can't have freesatfromsky on a FreeSat box.
