Nothing much to report here - still trying to catch myself up since paying toward the furniture last.  Have picked up a few ys bits along the way including a joint for Sunday roast which will do us enough leftovers for Monday too.  I was gifted a bag of chicken breasts which have now been individually wrapped and added to the freezer.  I think I'm covered for all meals for the weekend - may just need to top up veg for Sunday but have hopefully planned it so I can get that on way to sports club tomorrow so we don't have to leave the house if we don't want to on Sunday.
No additional payments have been/will be made (apart from daily TT's which I am up to date with) until I've caught my daily budget up :'(  should be a low spend weekend though so hopefully can resume overpayments on Monday.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

We were at sports club all day yesterday and we planned to treat ourselves to a cheap takeaway - won’t do that again 🙄  We opted for a kebab (chicken for me, all salad, no bread) as it’s the cheapest delivered round here.  Well our usual order came to around £4 more than usual and it was lukewarm when delivered, with a stingy amount of everything compared to previously. I’m really cross with us for taking an “easy option” when we could have made it ourselves for less and much nicer. Hopefully learned our lesson there 🤬

Today is a new day! One piece of clothing and a book already stashed away into the charity shop bag, TT’s done, laundry and dishes up to date, ys breakfast consumed and ys joint in the oven roasting. Onwards and upwards after yesterday’s fiasco.

I’ll be eBaying whilst we catch up on tv this afternoon and we do the rest of the bits for the roast.  Roast will be enough for us both to have for lunch tomorrow as well and chicken breasts are defrosting ready for tomorrow nights slow cooker dinner which oh will chuck in tomorrow morning as he’ll be wfh.

Three gift bags which are beyond reusing have gone into the recycling bin (ribbons removed and put into charity bag for crafting). It’s not much but it’s something!

I’ve cleared out the saucucepan cupboard tonight, wiped it down, scrubbed all the pans and replaced it all in a more orderly manner. Found a lid that doesn’t belong to any of my pans so that’s gone into the charity bag.  As my granny used to say “there’s a lid for every pot” so hopefully someone can find a use for it!

My aim for tomorrow night is to clear/scrub both the cutlery and the utensils drawer.

I’ve found a book which was loaned to me which I completed sometime ago so that can be returned to the original owner as soon as possible.

    The clear out operation continues!

  • Right - think I've fixed my sig.
I found 2p street cash in the car park this morning - it went straight off the mortgage of course!
I'm still at 100% success rate for bringing in my breakfast, lunch and snacks to work - although next week I may have to get a little inventive in the run up to payday and my "big shop" arriving!  My daily budget is squeezed very tightly at the moment and I'm not sure where I'll find the other £8 for my EF and £8 for the furniture balance in order to complete my February mini targets.  This is the juggly bit of the month with 8 days to go until payday BUT I will crack on and take each day as it comes.
I need to get some cleaning bits at lunchtime today but as they're not budgeted for I'll use my loyalty points to get them.  I don't like to let my loyalty points add up too much in case the company goes under or they withdraw the scheme/change the rules on claiming.
