Ah well done on sorting, but sending you much needed strength to sort the under stair cupboard! It’s always one of those awful jobs! Tuesday is my night without OH so I try and get bits done easy on so that I can chill later on.

I feel I may just scratch the surface tonight (there's a LOT of junk in there) but it will be a start!

Well done on all the decluttering Charhen, fingers crossed you can squeeze the extra £16 out of your budget to meet your targets. I'm sure you can do it :D

Thanks missymoo & Eyebright - lord knows what I'll find lurking in there :o

I've just had a notification to say an ebay item has sold - £4.99 better than nothing and another unwanted item to be removed from the house. I'll leave the money in my pp account to cover any fees for now.

My mentality towards ebay has changed over the years. I used to be constantly logged on checking how many views etc my items had received. Now I list stuff and just sort of forget about it until I get an email like just now. It's not worth getting agitated/excited about until someone has bid to say they're prepared to pay something for an item. Sorry if that doesn't make sense - I know what I mean! I'm sure I'll find some more items to list tonight!

TT's done and ebay item posted.

Well as I suspected I just scratched the surface of the understairs cupboard last night BUT........ I did find a few gems. A case of 18 cans of beer . A small jar of 5p's (used these to cross some future days off my penny a day jar). And 4 old mobile phones - now comes the task of finding out where can get us the most money for these (3 are mine, 1 is OH's).

Will work on that online tonight and then hopefully tomorrow I can move onto layer 2 of the junk!

Yay for the gems! That’s amazing! My understair cupboard definitely doesn’t harbour such treasures. Very stinky shoes is about all that’s in there! Well done you. I need to find £5 from somewhere. Will be looking down the back of the sofa, in pockets and in the car!

And don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for street cash missymoo! I once read a blog where a lady paid off her entire credit card early by walking her dog past a pub every morning and picking up the street cash dropped by tiddly customers the previous evening!

It always inspired me that blog - I guess that's partly where I get my "all the pennies here and there do add up" mindset from.

The writer would always be sure to never miss a Saturday or Sunday morning - top street cash days!
