Some LED bulbs are dimmable and some not and that is reflected in the price. The Next dimmable example given was £180 whereas the posters daughters one was about £70. So I suspected if you fit the correct LED dimmer plug/switch it will not work. Only Next can tell you if the model purchased is dimmable.1
