  • first many thanks for your answers and so Sorry if being a bit blonde! I’m not sure I understand what to do even after reading again

As this a COMPANY van and we got a windscreen ticket the advice is a little confusing for me.

    1. The advice in Newbie post says IPC firms only give 21 days, yet the windscreen ticket says 28. Not sure if this makes any difference??

    2. however advice also states for windscreen ticket - We should we appeal straight away before they write to the registered keeper via requesting this Information from the DVLA. We assume the registered keeper is the company he works from but will need to ask the bosses tomorrow. If we do appeal at this stage what else we should say without stating the driver.

    3. All the templates and further advice refer to appealing after subsequently receiving a letter and then challenging that the keeper for the purpose of corresponding definitions under Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (POFA) now it is proven that in this instance, the registered keeper is not the "keeper" (as defined under POFA), Civil Enforcement has no reason to contact Xxx again regarding this PCN

Once again sorry for being a bit on the slow side, I will reread all the newbie posts. Please ignore if there is nothing further for us to do at this stage Except ignore the windscreen ticket.

I will reread tomorrow and try to summarise on the thing to do when you have a windscreen notice on a company vehicle from a one man band IPC.

An option with IPC firms, is to wait for the NTK (as long as this is not a leased vehicle from some third party Fleet company who will pay it!).

It will be interesting to see how this chap mocks up a NTK in his back bedroom.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
