No, it just means that they have broken one of their trade association's rules. Nobody cares about that.Miro44 said:It has been 36 days since the 21st Jan (if I count correctly) does this mean i am in the clear?
No, they have six years to decide whether or not to chase you through the courts.Miro44 said:do i need to do anything else at this point?

I recieved two letters yesterday,
1st Dated 21/02 acknowledging recepit of my recent correspondence and that it has been notedm the other dated 24/02
2nd Dated 24/02 a notification letter with the increased charge of £100 demanding payment within 14 days otherwise they will pass it over to debt recovery then County court.
There is no reference to my appeal in the second letter despite the e-mail acknowledgement stating that
"Your charge will be placed on hold whilst under appeal and we will aim to respond to you by formal letter/e-mail to the address supplied within 35 days, should you not receive a response within this time, please contact our information line on 0333 220 1070."
It looks like they haven't placed the charge on hold as per their e-mail and have simply acknowledged recepit (again) this time by post rather than e-mail.
Do I call them, e-mail them or simply wait for them to respond to the details of the claim?

Or complain to the BPA that theyve failed to accpet or reject an appeal, and are instead threatening debt recovery?2

Is there a template to use in this circumstance, it seems like there are a lot of opportunities for someone (me) to put their foot in it when corresponding with others on this sort of thing.nosferatu1001 said:Or complain to the BPA that theyve failed to accpet or reject an appeal, and are instead threatening debt recovery?

It is a complaint to the BPA by email, three lines max, attaching a copy of the PCN and a copy of the email acknowledgement (showing the date of the appeal was over 35 days ago) and finally a copy of the latest demands. No template is needed for a short email to Steve Clark, like in hundreds of threads like this:
steve.c@britishparking.co.ukPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
