Impressive security with Clarity

(Just a bit *inconvenient!)
Saturday evening I went to pay online for my Indian visa. Payment was rejected and only seconds later I had an automated call from Halifax fraud dept. They had logged unusual activity on the card. Towards the end of the call I was able to cofirm I had authorised the patment and was able to proceed ten minutes later. Phew.
*Inconvenient because you only get 3 attempts to poay before it wipes out your 9 page application!

So it seems that some online security is hard at work and protecting my card. Well done Clarity.

    Whats the question here?

I find that most credit card's and debit card do this from time to time, especially if it falls outside of your normal spending pattern.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

I think that's fairly common with many cards.

I've received automated telephone calls and text messages several times in the past, from various card providers, asking me to confirm transactions.

They are hard at work protecting THEIR card.

The card remains theirs and they are liable for any fraud.

    Silly me, of course!!;)

I'm pretty sure that this is the first time I've had card blocked, but it was the sheer speed of their call which surprised me.

In what way "well done" for rejecting a genuine transaction and wasting at least ten minutes of your time?

More like "incompetent risk management Clarity"
