                    Hi everyone,
I need some help.
I posted a ring with a high value through guaranteed next day delivery with Royal Mail. I paid for the correct postage with the insurance value etc. if it was to go missing.
....& so it did.
I have claimed with Royal Mail and provided all the sufficient evidence, however they want the recipient to prove they have not received it by replying to a letter they sent or sending them an email.
Long story short, this is not possible and I cannot get evidence from them.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Do I have a leg to stand on at all with Royal Mail?
Appreciate your advice!

You don’t normally have to prove it was not received with special delivery as it is a fully tracked service.0

Assuming it was sent Special Delivery based on the info given?
Did the parcel get lost or mis-delivered?
Royal Mail will do their best to avoid paying any claims, if you keep pushing back they'll pay out eventually. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
What does the tracking for it say?0

Why does the recipient not reply or not willing to email conformation ?0

It's gone missing and there is no signature to say it's been signed for.
I believe they have not provided the service I paid for as I pay to see a signature, am I right?0 -

It just said it had been sent back to the Post Office and then never ever was updated again.0 -

"Sent back" from where? From an unsuccessful attempt at delivery? Is that all it says?kkarcher94 wrote: »It just said it had been sent back to the Post Office and then never ever was updated again.0 -

If the parcel wasn't delivered then just keep pushing it back to them to pay out.
Unless they have something suggesting otherwise the letter they send to the recipient is just a step in the process to reduce the number of payouts as people give up.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
