you better contact the court tomorrow then and find out how they are dealing with cases because what coupon mad said is correct, this pandemic has changed a lot of things in life, court is just one of them

its crucial to be on the ball in this rapidly changing scenario of covid and it seems to me you havent read that TELEPHONE HEARINGS thread, or checked the court list Bargepole posted

I'd be astonished if any civil small claim hearing involving a poxy parking firm is held in person just yet, this Summer.  There have been none that I know of since March.

    Ok Ladies and Gentlemen.
I have been on the phone to the court. They are up to the 20th July deciding if they are choosing phone or on paper cases. My case isn't until the 28th July.
I explained what i have done ( posting WS ). They are happy with that proceeding as normal. So waiting on next step from the courts. They said it could possibly be on papers. Not really happy about that so what would possibly be the next step?
Can i disagree with it being an on paper?

Yes of course, as my recent post in the TELEPHONE HEARINGS thread in June tells you (with wording to copy).

Hello. Just got off the phone hearing and i'm fuming. It  has been adjourned to the next available date, even though i objected this. Was all down to a clerical error on the courts part. My question now is can i resend my summary of costs back to the court with my earnings due to this?
I was really hoping it would be over today. Due to Covid work and child care arrangements i don't have time to deal with this.

By all means do that as a supplementary costs assessment

Nobody said the system was perfect and that mistakes are not made , plus covid has put extra problems on courts , so adjournments are commonplace in various cases , so that correct processes can be followed

You will just have to accept it and follow the court orders , or pay the claimant in full , it's one or the other and complaining about it doesn't help

Nobody said the system was perfect and that mistakes are not made ,

It is far from perfect, far too many mistakes are made, three in my case.

First was a mistake in paperwork when I was suing a tenant, second brought my daughter down from University in the midlands for a case that was adjourned, compensarion paid, third was also a mistake made by a judge, £100 compensation paid.

I suppose all the best people are snapped up by the FCO and the Treasury

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
