Virgin Media - porting/saving emails

Hi
Wonder if anyone can advise. I am finally leaving Virgin Media due to ever increasing bills, appalling customer service etc. I have been using a VM email address and have now ported all emails to a new google email address. Will these ported emails remain safely in my new google a/c or will they disappear when VM pulls the plug? All the ported emails show as coming from my current (but soon to end) VM email address.

If they are visible in your gmail account they will safe.0

Thanks - i`m just worried because in my new email address they show as being sent from my Virgin email address so worried that they will disappear along with my Virgin address..0
