Swagbucks announced a little while back that they are removing earning opportunities from 'watch', which included watch on the desktop and the phone apps.

Yes, redeeming through Paypal does mark off the redeem square on Swago.

Does anyone ever do the "Refer a friend" on Swago? Are there any neat ways of doing it without actually bothering a friend?

Depends how many e-mail addresses you have access to.  The address to which you send the invitation must be able to receive and respond to e-mails from Swagbucks;  but that ID doesn't have to go on to earn anything, so long as you have at least one referral that earns at least 10SB during the lifetime of the Swago (to fill in the other square).

If you were going to do something like this then it is better to use the new account as your main one so you would be earning the extra 10% that is paid to referrers on the new one (playing maybe the games, daily poll and other simple bits on both accounts) -  same as if you haven't already got an account you open one for minimal use then refer yourself and use the second account for your main earnings and picking up the extra 10% on them.

I wasn't suggesting that anybody should try to run two accounts on Swagbucks - I am sure that would get them banned very quickly when discovered!

More really for use where there is someone in the household who is not going to use SB so the account can be opened and  run on their behalf to pick up that 10% extra for doing nothing. (one account per person but more than one person per household is allowed an account)

24847854 and 24853470 both userzooms state 20 mins actually take about 3 mins each both on online payments (need the userzoom download) pay 105 SBs each (handy for swago)
