DWP did not get it that has been confirmed. I emailed the CEO of RM who did an “ in depth “ investigation over about 2 hrs and came to the conclusion it was probably delivered !!!

Heaven help us obviously the incompetence bleeds from the top .

Well what did you expect when you 'emailed the CEO'?
For starters you didnt contact the CEO. You contacted at best the CEO office.
Did you expect them to drive to the mail centre and go digging through the mail?
So the DWP confirm they dont have it.
So from what Ive seen on the forum. Items being delivered take days for the DWP to 'get them' as they have to process through the files.
We are on the 7th working day since the 24th assuming the DWP returned the 26th.

DWP did not get it that has been confirmed. .

From what you say I suspect that what has actually been confirmed is that the paperwork has not been scanned yet - until it has none of the DWP staff will be able to see that it's been received.

It sounds as if it's possible that it could still be sat in a large post-Christmas backlog pile in the DWP mail centre waiting to be opened and scanned.

We sent some paperwork to DWP at the beginning of December and received a letter saying it our completed paperwork had not been received.

We rang to query and got told that it can take 10 working days from them actually receiving it into the building to the point it is scanned onto the system. The letters saying 'Not received' are auto generated to prompt those who may be late sending and we were advised to ignore it and then call back about 5 days later.

When we called back the paperwork had been scanned and all was well. I think your vent at Royal Mail is misguided, the items are signed for in bulk and the chances are that your paperwork has been delivered but not yet processed.
