Redredrobin

Sent a shed load of paperwork to DWP Dec 23rd special delivery , it should have arrived by 1pm om the 24th .


Its still showing as a a sorting office near its destination . I called RM and was assured it probably arrived however a letter came today saying it hasn't !!


RM have refunded the £8-70 i had paid which for them apparently is the end of the matter , no concerns about all the private information that's been lost .


I have to resend everything but does anyone use a service other than RM ?

Are the DWP open for mail receiving purposes?
Not uncommon for office based places to be closed from xmas eve to the (this year) 6th.
what does the tracking message actually say?

Yes they were open .

According to RM customer services mail to them is delivered in bulk daily which is all very well but i paid for special delivery so would have assumed it would have been handled differently .


Tracking says its at a west midlands sorting office and has been there since the 24th .

Thats what it has said since December 24th at 3-30am .

Im not up to date but I would expect it to say delivered if that MC deals with DWP mail.
However likelihood is its simply missed its delivered scan and is being processed as per other DWP mail opening & scanning process.

I will be calling DWP tomorrow but the letter i got yesterday dated Jan 2nd said it hadn't been received .

If it was 'delivered' 24th. I dont doubt they wont have it.
25th/26th were holidays for RM.
So it wouldnt even have a chance of being dealt with till the 27th.
Then it depends on volumes and then you have the time fro the DWP to process.

DWP did not get it that has been confirmed. I emailed the CEO of RM who did an “ in depth “ investigation over about 2 hrs and came to the conclusion it was probably delivered !!!

Heaven help us obviously the incompetence bleeds from the top .
