but all there Contracts are 36 months e.g
Iphone 11 Pro (256GB)

90GB (Data)
Unlimted Calls/texts
Iphone 11 Pro (64GB)

Should I wait till sept or Just go sim only when contract runs out?

If you don't really need and can resist the desire for for a new phone, go SIM-only at the end of your current contract's minimum term, finding the best price for your data needs among other networks and presenting that to O2 to see if they can match it when you ask for your PAC.
Otherwise, compare the costs of the new contracts you are considering with the cost of a new SIM-free handset purchased elsewhere plus accumulated cost of a suitable SIM-only for the period. You are likely to find that the famous 'upgrade' deal is something to be avoided.
You mention 36 months, are you looking at business contracts..?Evolution, not revolution0 -
O3 just default it to 3 years you should be able to use a slider to lower it but you could not upgrade and just keep your phone for when you need to upgrade if your phone did break0
-
So would haggling with o2 work?
Sim only sounds like a gd idea unless o2 offer me a good deal0 -
I think, 36 months means separate contracts for the phone (36 months loan) and for the airtime (24 months or less).
It's very easy to compare with sim-only and calculate to total cost of the loan/mobile. Most likely it will be very high.0 -
Thanks Grumbler
well sim only o2
100GB Data
Unlimted calls/Texts
£25 a month
O2 Refresh
90GB Data
Unlimited Calls/Texts
£31 (Air time Plan)
why can't they Just use there Sim Only Prices0 -
So, you can pay the loan earlier and stop the mobile contract (if you wish).
The phone costs you £1156 plus extra £6 every month you keep the contract.
Makes no sense to me, especially when Three offer unlimited SIM-only for £10-£20 p.m. with big cashback.why can't they Just use there Sim Only Prices
What sort of contract is it?
If it's the same Refresh, just pay the remaining balance you owe for the phone.0 -
It's 24 months Contract got from Mobile Phones Direct
Can upgrade now o2 or wait till 15th Sept to upgrade/chnage network else where0 -

-
