My radishes seem to have stalled at the seedling stage. I now have 4 rows of 2-leaved seedlings, and have had those for a week. Any suggestions? They are in a pot I water daily, pot is mostly in the sun, and also contains chives and parsley.
I made a pot of granola from oats, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, not-crispy-anymore cornflakes mixed with local honey and corn oil. Once ovened and cooled, I mixed it with popped amaranth, popped spelt, popped buckwheat, leftover rice crispies, some raisins.
DD1 has just finished all her roles of washi tape to make an indoor hopscotch trackI'm pleased, because, even though the stuff is expensive, she is not the crafty type and would not have used them any other way, and they don't leave marks on our laminate floor.

Hi Siebrie, the radishes don't like the sun so much, they prefer it a bit shadier and cooler. Is it possible to move them?

Thank you, Greyqueen. Yes, I can move the pot.
I broke a teaglass... and kondoed some more weeds from the garden!Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.596 -

They can go wherever, but mightn't do as well if they're a bit hot and bothered. Experimentation is the order of the day.

Isn't it great we can all share our knowledge, who knew radishes didn't like too much sun?
I have peas ready to go in the ground and although the weather has been warm and sunny (albeit with a chilly wind) we are still having slight overnight frosts. The poor things are bursting out of their pots!
I have some of the tomato seeds germinated, I shall look after them very carefully!5 -
My tomatoes have germinated - I need to work out when to pot them on. I've also got basil and coriander seedlings to deal with and ONE sweet pea. No sign of the broad beans yet. I have some baby strawberry plants that seem happy in the growhouse, and now I've had the ground under the planters flattened, I'll fill them and start planting them up. Hopefully the last bit of the raised bed will appear so as I currently have access to labour...5

My cauliflowers that I planted out under cloches are coming up great guns but the cabbage collars I ordered online have failed to turn up and I've been refunded. I think they'll have to take their chances when they get too big for me to keep covered. I've got some slug pellets. We planted dry rooted raspberry canes a few weeks back, I thought they'd failed as we were getting nothing off the sticks, but I think I can see some shoots coming up from below ground level so looks like we're in luck. I bought mid season thornless variety having learned the hard way that some varieties have thorns. Also the ones we planted in our previous house turned out to be late fruiting - wasn't so keen to go out and pick raspberries for breakfast in my dressing gown on cold mornings. The strawberries we brought with us from our previous house which were planted up as runners are just beginning to flower, so we're anticipating some fruit in a few weeks. We will eventually build some raised beds to move them into, but not this year.Fence painting is coming along well. Our fence has had two coats which took 8.5 x 2.5litre cans. We started painting our neighbour's fence (with their permission) in the same colour which is Muted clay which we've used before. It dries a lovely silver grey colour and there seems to be much more light bouncing around in the garden now. The neighbour's fence has had one coat, it's a bit too windy here to be painting a second coat. We hoped we would get away with 6.5 cans for that side which is a shorter boundary but we may be a can short. The fence is much older and has never been treated on our side so the paint is soaking in very quickly.Make £2025 in 2025

Finished 2 lingering small notebooks by filling them with work notes, which I then crossed out as I did them. Hurray! I always carry a small notebook in my purse, no bigger than 5x5cm. I hate large notebooks, as they are usually heavy, and usually largely empty, and require a larger purse. I always try to minimise the things I need to carry with me, and the container needed to transport those items. I bought my first proper handbag when I was 32, I believe; I used to stuff my wallet in my back trouser pocket, my diary in a coat pocket, keys in another, and was done.
