    Did you tell him when you booked him, you needed to know if it was an inherent fault?

    But that was the whole point of the report!

    You need to prove to VERY that the fault was inherent and thus caused the TV to fail before it ought to.

    Call the engineer and ask this question. Not sure if LEDs being shot sounds like an inherent fault. Did this engineer say it was fixable?

    Which is pretty meaningless, if they have reached the end of their expected life then that would be considered wear and tear and not be inherent (i.e. a fault that existed when it was manufactured.
