    Yes you can

You fund any of the accounts using:

    sort code 20 32 53 account number 63604551

and in the 'Ref' space enter your individual 7 digit account number followed by your surname (no spaces & presumably shortened if necessary:cool:)

    Thank you :)

I think I've selected to fund the Reg Saver and Reg ISA from my nominated account and am assuming Ford Money will take the money automatically today's date every month ? ( Nothing has gone in from anywhere yet )

14 minutes to open, set up standing order and amend spreadsheets :j. Well done Ford Money :T:T:T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Stop this - You've been advised of the T&Cs earlier in this thread.

Just because a system allows you to open two (or more accounts) still makes it in breach of the T&C.

Santander, NW and plenty of others systems have allowed products to be opened whilst their T&Cs have stated they cannot be opened in conjunction with each other.

These institutions do read these forums and hence why forumites have subsequently had these closed down.

Um, stop what precisely? Stop responding to someone who asked a specific question with a reply that if they don't mind taking a risk then try something?

Some people have given an opinion on the T&C's, but that is all it is, an opinion. It is not definitive advice from the party responsible for drawing up the T&C's. Something is only a breach if it is actually a breach - it isn't a breach because one customer reads the T&C's in a specific way, and equally it isn't necessarily permitted if another customer reads it a different way.
Will you be around and offering such wonderful advice should people who take up your suggestion have ALL their accounts closed?

    Thought not...

That is frankly a very unfair and unreasonable thing to say.

If a customer had ALL their account closed it would be unfortunate - hence my reference to risk in the original post. However the prospect of ALL their accounts being closed is fairly remote and would give them fairly good grounds to complain and if necessary take a complaint all the way to FOS and beyond. The T&C's are imprecisely written, it is not reasonable for a company to close ALL accounts as a result of a customer making an error in their understanding of the T&C's. The most they could possibly justify is closing all but one.

It is unkind and unfair of you to cast doubt on my reputation by suggesting I won't be here if things go wrong. Anyone looking at my posting history will see evidence of a willingness to take complaints as far as it is reasonably possible to do. If anyone has ALL their Ford accounts closed then I am quite happy to join and support them in making complaints firstly to Ford and then if necessary to the Ombudsman.

Nobody on the forum knows what Ford's exact intentions are. Some people are assuming that the same rules banks and BS have used in the past apply and it will be only one account per customer, I was doing the same until this morning, but had already checked to see if more than one RS account would be permitted (see my posting history) and I think in due course it will be clearer.

If the great Henry Ford had said "Here's my new Model 'T', you can have one but only in black" and everybody had assumed he meant you were only allowed to buy one each - then would FoMoCo have ever become the great company it is, and would we be here today discussing the Ford RS account? Perhaps Ford want us to each have lots of accounts because that way they will make more money?

The worst which is likely to happen is we each end up with one... how is that a problem to anyone?

So, will you be here apologising to any forumites who took your advice and didn't apply for more than one account (if permitted by the T&C's), in the event the issue sells out quickly due to demand?

    You're welcome.

However, Ford don't 'take the money automatically'.

You need to set up the payments from your nominated account, either as one off, or SO.

I say again, the question has to be asked why bother putting an upper limit on the monthly deposit if you can have as many as you like. It's nonsensical.

My bet would be on a maximum total number of accounts per issue... when they are gone they are gone.

Does it matter to Ford whether 500,000 customers have 2 each or 1,000,000 have one each?

Perhaps issue 2 will have a tighter limit imposed ;)
