FWIW my reference number is 9 digits rather than 7, not that it really matters!

Update: Nevermind, ignore me, reference numbers and account numbers are two different things!

Which is of itself ambiguous.

One regular savings product, ie only one of either the normal RS or the ISA RS? After all, they are both called "Regular Saver".

Or one of each?

I assume they mean the latter but they definitely need someone on board who is better at writing with precision.

How long does it take for the payment to appear in the account and are you using the application reference number + surname or the account number+ surname?

I have sent payments using both combinations and no sign of either after 10 minutes or so.

Call centre says because some people have been opening excessive amount of accounts, they had to put a limit of 1 a/c per person. Any a/c more than the 1 of each allowed will be closed.

The amounts I have transferred are not showing up yet, so it will be interesting to see tomorrow what they do with the 'excess' monies and whether they do close accounts .....we will see.
