I was able to get hold a of a copy of the account information sheet for the Nottingham BS - Special Saver Account - Issue 3 today, I can't figure out how to attach an image of it?
But to give a quick summary:
Interest rate - 4% gross
No bonus
No withdrawals allowed
Access - Branch
Interest paid into the account on 30 June 2015 & 30 June 2016 when the account matures.
On 1 July 2016 the balance will automatically be transferred to their instant access Branch Instant account or nearest equivalent.
Once opened you can pay between £1 and £400 each calendar month by cash, cheque or standing order. No limit on number of payments. You can miss as many monthly payments as you wish. Missed payments can not be made up in subsequent months.
No access until account matures.
One account per person in branch catchment area, UK only residents and over 16 age. Minimum of £10 to open the account.
Limited issue and will need to fill in an application form so will need proof of ID and permanent address.
Hope that is helpful to someone.
Good spot on the catchment area. Its been a few years since I saw that on one their accounts - the used to have post code restrictions so I wonder what 'catchment area' means in real terms.
The factsheet I have clearly says the rate is variable. Does it not on yours or have you left it off your post?0 -
I think catchment area translates to existing customers. I live 40 miles away from the branch but they always post me details of new offerings. Had details of this just over a week ago and opened one ok.0

My mistake, I left it off by accident. I have updated the post - I don't have the T&C's so not sure what basis upon which they might change the rate.0 -
Hi Everybody,
I am adding the Nottingham BS Special Saver Account (Issue 3) account to post 3 right now.
I cannot see anything else that has changed since last weekend.
I will do another update next weekend.

Special_Saver2 you state that Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank is 2% until March 2015. It should state that these accounts paid 4% from October 2013 until 31st March 2015 for customers who opened while rate was at 4% and now pay 2% to all customers."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Saffron Building Society will launch a new issue of their Members' Regular Saver on Tuesday 26th May, paying 3.50%.
The 12 Month Fixed Rate Members' Regular Saver (Issue 3) allows you to pay in between £10 - £200 per month and the account runs for 12 months. Unlimited withdrawals are permitted.
Like the previous issue, Saffron may allow non-members to open the account via a branch, though (at the time of writing this post, 22/05/2015) it has not been confirmed that they will allow this.
Existing members can open the account via branch or post.
Further details will appear on the Saffron BS website on Tuesday (26 May), see here. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Does that mean it's still possible to open the Issue 2 tomorrow morning?0

I should think so, as Saffron are still advertising it on their website, here.
Anyone wanting to open issue 2 should ring their local branch tomorrow (Saturday) to check before travelling. I think they will allow it to be opened tomorrow (but that will be the last day for that issue, seeing as Monday is a Bank holiday). Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Thanks. I won't be far from their area.
But if it's one of those that says you need an appointment, and people get wind of this change, maybe they'll be fully booked by the time I decide whether I can get there.0
