My standing orders came from Halifax and showed as SO. Maybe it's those banks that use the same computer platform so Lloyd's, Halifax, BoS, TSB etc?

    Yes that makes sense.

In my experience a standing order made from a Lloyds current account will show as SO when credited to the regular saver.
A standing order from another bank will show as FPI when credited.

Yes this may explain it. Mine were from Santander.

Hi has anyone had any information about being able to increase the monthly payments into either the Newcastle Big Home Saver Issue 1 or 2 now that the ISA allowance has increased?

I am talking about both the ISA and non ISA versions of these accounts.

Currently you can pay £1,250 in each month (£15,000 a year = 2014/15 ISA allowance) but I haven't had anything about being allowed to increase this to £1,270 (£15,240 a year = 2015/16 ISA allowance).

I can't find anything on the website. Only that the new N.B.S. Big Home Saver Issue 3 allows £1,270 a month to be paid in.

Just got off the phone to Newcastle BS and they confirmed that you can increase the SO's on both the Issues 1 & 2 to a maximum of £1,270/month up from the previous £1,250 in line with the increase in the ISA allowance for 2015/16 and Issue 3 of these accounts.

This increase applies to both the ISA and non-ISA versions.

Don't forget though that as of 01/06/2015 they have a new limit balance of £30,000 so you will need to reduce the SO's right back before you reach this amount so that you can continue to deposit £1 a month (or more) and still get the monthly bonus.

It isn't clear what happens if you go above the £30,000 balance - I can't find anything about this.

    Hi!

Just wish to check how others have renewed their Club Lloyds RS account online. The Renew Savings account option on the RHM seems to relate to instant access and ISAs, and I can see no Maturity link on my CLRS page.

    Thanks

Has your Club Lloyds Monthly Saver actually matured yet?

I suspect not, as on the day it matures it converts to an Easy Saver Account, bearing the same account number. Once you see that in online banking, you can transfer the maturity proceeds out and open another Monthly Saver :) You can't do anything before that date though.

Once the old one has matured, you can apply for a new one. It's under instant access from what I recall.

Do you do this (renew CLMS) while logged in, or not?

As pointed out, you don't renew it, you open another one, and it's while logged in (otherwise you'd have to enter all your details again....)

Quick Q ref interest. Out of curiosity how much did the CLMS pay in interest for those who didn't ammend s/o date?

    also,

Have closed my Easy Saver (ex CLMS), and am logged in but can't open another online as it keeps stating...

    "There's a problem...

Unfortunately there has been a technical problem. This transaction has not been completed"

Do you have to wait til the overnight process removes the account before you can reapply ? Cheers

I didn't, no. I was able to apply before I closed the Easy Saver.
