Agreed
My son has been out there since August 2012 and is now on a permanent contract, so I've been 3 times already :T
Lifestyle is definitely more suited to him (30s) than me (60s)
Its very much a 'love it' or 'hate it' place though and not for the faint hearted. Buy a fish from a bucket on a street stall and watch them scale and gut it while the heart is still beating :eek:0 -

Here is this weekend's update.

They wont allow you to 'pre apply' either.0 -
The HSBC Advance account, which enables the 6% on the HSBC Regular Saver, is now available without a monthly charge. It does, however, require a monthly deposit of £1,750 (as opposed to the £500 the Bank account needs) so may only appeal to experienced multi-accounters.
Changing from Bank to Advance can be done on 0800 130 130, and they will want to be assured that your min £1,750 comes from a salary or a pension. I told them I would get my pension paid into HSBC instead of into FD but would keep the FD for the FD Regular Saver and they were fine with that. They'll also want to know why you want the Advance account, so it's worth reviewing before the call which of the Advance features attracted you. It was the £500 ATM limit, no HSBC non-sterling cash fees (whatever those might be) and preferential loan and savings rates for me [/QUOTsa

Looks pretty good for the 6%. No significant hurdles. Doesn't actually require salary or any dds. Anyone know how many regular savers are allowed.is it one per person or can a couple open one each then a joint one on the back of a joint advance account.0 -

Great work Kazza242 - regarding these 2 regular savers.
I am looking at the Loyalty Saver .. If you look deeper in the 'Apply' section you can also apply for this product by post (application form to download) or apply by phone.
Mine will be in the post today.
Much better than the Nottingham BS with their Branch only restriction.0 -
