I opened a joint and sole account with Yorkshire Bank over the telephone on 14th January.
    Never went near a branch.

Similar here. If they find you ok on electronic media (electoral roll, CRA files etc), you don't need to show up in a Branch.

    48.78% towards 2015 target.

  • Saffron BS 12 Month Fixed Rate Regular Saver (Issue 2)

I know the penalty if payments are missed.
My account matured last year, and I mixed up the maturity date so the last of the 12 standing orders did not go out.
I was pleasantly surprised when the closing statement arrived. It showed that most of the expected interest was paid. The staff told me that if you miss a payment, you get no interest during that 1 month.
So I got no interest for the final month (arguably the month when most interest is due) but I was no penalised on top of that.

Crabman just did something of the sticky thread.
Well, the change is sort of waste our time for a few more click!
Not sure it is any improvement at all.

If like that I would prefer it go back to the normal threads, at least I will know when it has changed on the thread. Rather than I have to click in Crabman's post, then click in this thread! (Sort of like this thread has been stolen by "someone")

I don't understand the issue. The normal threads continue as they did before. The sticky is to help members quickly locate the relevant threads. If you have some better way of finding them then there is nothing to stop you continuing to use it.

It is not possible to add posts to the sticky thread so there is no chance of it duplicating what is said here or stealing this thread.

Agree this all you said apart from the above. It is possible.

Well, I noticed that the thread still shows on the first page now. OK!
It was not showed on the first page when I tried to find it. Until I posted on this thread, then it shows up. Now, do you understand my original issue?!

I am seeing the sticky thread is locked. Are you seeing something different?
