Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

That sounds like the Nationwide 2.5% Regular Saver. That account is a little different in that the interest rate depends on how much you deposit in a month. E.g. if you deposit £500-£1000 one month you'll get 2.5%, next month if you only pay in £200 - £499 it will only get 1.85%.
Because of this they need to apply the rate on a month by month basis but you can be sure it will be calculated daily for each month in question
Unless of course you've found a flaw in their plan but I don't think so because I seem to recall my first month was a partial month and I got proportionately less interest0 -
is Nottingham Building Society's 3.1% Regular Saver their only offer now, and the 5% account has been withdrawn?0

Just thought I'd add a couple of notes which may help people:
1. Yorkshire/Clydesdale Current Account Direct I had to go in to my local branch to complete my application for this 4% AER feeder account, and was told that this is because they like 'the personal touch' and to ensure that their customers are getting the best products. Clydesdale only have one branch in England (London) while Yorkshire Bank are (naturally) mainly in the North East. It may therefore be worth checking how close your nearest branch is before making an application online.
2. Dudley BS One Year Regular Saver This account *can* be opened by post, but you will need to send original (or certified copies of) ID documents. So, you need to be comfortable sending the originals in the post or think the cost/hassle of getting certified copies is worthwhile.
For postal applications only, certified copies of ID are acceptable but must be certified by one of the following:
Solicitor, Accountant, Authorised Financial Adviser or Doctor, stating full name, profession, address of employment, full address and contact telephone number. For all face to face applications, supporting identification must be original.
All documents used to prove address must be dated within the last 3 months and show your full name and address.
You will need one of the following:
- Full passport
- Photocard driving licence
- Firearms or shotgun certificate
- ID card issued by the Electoral Office of Northern Ireland
You will also need one other ID from a list which includes the usual utility bills, bank statements, HMRC letters, council tax bills, etc.0 -

Money_Man_Steve, did they ask you to go to a branch to verify your ID? Presumably they were able to verify blindman electronically.
I have also added the info on the Dudley BS application pack by post to the relevant entry on the first page.
