Am I correct to say that it comes down now to 3% ?
Could someone confirm about this ?
But the one shown on the table not what I originally have. The one that I opened it a year ago will only allow max payment of £500, not £1000.
As Mark said, go further down, page 3
Interest Rates for Closed Issues
Regular Bonus Saver Gross % Net % AER%
Interest annually £25-£500 per month 4.00 3.20 4.00
Rate shown includes 3% bonus paid provided that no more than one payment missed and/or no more than one
withdrawal made during year. If account is opened on 1 April with £100 and regular payments of £100 made on
1st of each month, balance including interest at following 31 March will be approximately £1,221
(assuming rate shown above applies throughout year and bonus conditions are satisfied).0 -
Am I correct to say that [the Scottish BS] Regular Saver comes down now to 3% ?
I just spoke to my SBS branch: both accounts remain at 4% incl. bonus interest on the whole balance. Page 3 of above PFD file. shpows the rates of closed issues.
It's just the new issue that is at 3%.Dagobert0 -
Thank you. So it is a very good product. I keep put gbp 500 a month as long as it stays 4%.johnmoney05 wrote: »As Mark said, go further down, page 3

SBS "Regular Bonus Saver" is still 4% (look further down that page)0 -
Hi Folks,
There is only one thing that I can find that has changed since the last update. The Northern Rock Monthly Saver account can be opened by post now (was branch only before).
I will do another update the weekend after next.

Thanks a lot ctdctd, I did forget!
I have now added that account to post 3 as the account matures in about 2 years' time. It seems like a good account apart from some of the conditions that I have put in the special conditions section of my entry. In particular, it is a shame that Loughborough BS insist that you fix the monthly deposit amount on account opening and only allow you to change it on 1st November 2012. This means that you have to trust that your personal circumstances do not suddenly change and that Loughborough BS do not reduce their variable interest rate on this account.

Yep, they seemed fine on the last RS I had with them.
You can miss two payments and make one withdrawal per year as well which limits the exposure if the rate does go down / fail to rise.Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -
The Moneyfacts website (http://moneyfacts.co.uk/news/savings/principality-bs-unwraps-savings-gift211111/) says that Principality Building Society has a festive fixed rate account, called the Christmas Regular Saver Bond. Seems it will pay 5.01%. Unfortunately, I can't find any information on the Principality website.0
