My husband has a Nirvana T-shirt which I love to wear around the house. I made the mistake of telling him it could be worth a lot of money, and he found it's worth about £80. Now he wants to sell it, but I want to keep it. Should I let him?

How controlling. His t-shirt, upto him.0 -
If you love it so much, buy it off him for £80. Except you probably don't love it '£80's much', so let him sell it

True LBM, December 2019 = £32934. Current Debt = £12762. 1% Challenge = 61.1%. #51 3-6 Month EF Challenge = £1200/£6000

Probably not best site to say this but... money isn't everything.
I don't agree he should sell it when you wear and love it so much.0 -
His T-Shirt, his choice. Should have kept quiet about it being worth lotsWycombe Till I Die0

It's a T-shirt, for heaven's sake! It will wear out.
Search on Amazon and you'll find a whole bunch of Nirvana T-shirts for less than £20. Buy four, and let your husband sell your (actually his) one.
A more moral dilemma would be: does Nirvana have anything meaningful to say in the 2020s?0 -
Is it "worth" £80 or has he found it "advertised for sale" at £80?
I found something advertised for £5000 but looking at other places the same thing was selling for a fiver or not much more.0 -
If it's a piece of tat you just wear around the house then just replace it with another piece of tat that isn't worth anything0
-
It’s his T Shirt let him sell it - you’re only wearing it around the house after all, so what does it matter?0

You want it, give him the £80. These dilemma questions are getting silly now.1

What exactly is the dilemma?0
