Could you colour your hair yourself to save money and just go for the cut? My DIL paid over £100 for a cut and colour and DGD’s trim, bearing in mind this is a salon at the end of my road in the suburbs. I pay £35 for a cut and blow dry, same salon, do the colour myself.

I cut and coloured my own hair for YEARS, pretty much worked out ok, I do think it is a ridiculous amount but I am now so grey and not so good with the colouring since we got our bathroom done, it makes me so anxious! SO I suck up the cost.
It is so expensive round here.

  • Blimey! I'm glad I don't do girlie stuff if those are the prices now.

I stopped colouring my hair about 4 years ago now and really begrudged paying £13 for a cut every 4 weeks (the perils of short hair) so now cut my own when I do DHs. It might not be very symmetrical and it might stick up in a few places but with a bit of wax it all goes in the right direction eventually.

I'd probably have a different approach if I was teaching hordes of kids who like to make comments and saw other adults regularly. This living a hermit life has its advantages.
  • Basically it is all about your last point :)
    God today was tiring!!
My refunds on the way which is good. I do have the vets tomorrow. I need to do some shopping.
    going to bed very soon!

I have paid the CC bill, with my savings, I have not bought the rabbit insurance yet.
I am so tired. And deeply grumpy. Angry and upset. XX

Can you use some of your gems to buy a streak freeze? I lost my 180 days streak when I went to Greece as no internet in the room and it would be weird to sit learning Spanish in a Greek hotel reception 😆 I’m on a 104 day streak right now.

Hope you feel better today x
