  • Hi all again! After my day of slothfulness yesterday, today I have been a very busy bee! I took the tree and decs etc down this morning and they are now all boxed up in the small bedroom awaiting the arrival of a good Samaritan to put them up in the loft!

I then gave all the downstairs a good clean up (dust and glitter adorning every surface!), followed on by a kitchen clean too. So only half of a Friday Tidy left to do tomorrow! Bathroom and bedrooms!

After lunch I addressed all the ironing that had accumulated over the festivities. Nice to see an empty basket (for a little while at least!)

And it's so far so good with the healthy eating plan! Unfortunately evenings are my worst time for wandering around grazing so that will be my testing time!

Isn't it heartwarming to see the Daily back up to 2 pages again? Have a nice evening folks. xx

My outing to meet Camelot was lovely, just an hour sitting chatting. When we arrived at the coffee shop it was very quiet, a while later queues started. As we were there the weather turned fairly nasty.

I collected the belated Christmas present from Marks and then bought a few bits from Waitrose. DM wanted prune juice  and I got a bottle of wine for a neighbours 60th birthday.

Now I've caught up with the last 90 minutes of Mission Impossible (on fast forward) and indulged in re-watching Dr Who from yesterday. NAN - I wore my Tardis / Van Gogh scarf today in celebration of the new series. :rotfl::rotfl:

PS - didn't buy it from that site, went to a Dr Who convention in London a few years ago!

    I inadvertently made a Dr.Who scarf.:D
My first attempt at a longwise scarf on circular needles. Filled the needles with cast on stitches and just knitted, for ever and ever in rows. Turned out to be about 8 inches wide AND 12 FOOT LONG!
I had forgotten that the cast on edge on a needle is not the same when taken off the needle!
200 stitches is a good length for a scarf... I had cast on about 600!!!
    My nephew adored it:j

Good evening chums ,well DGD Katie's little girl hasn't as yet made an appearance so we are hoping it will be over the weekend as its now
due date + 4 !! not cold today but a bit misty first thing

I am home with all my bits and bobs put away at least.

I put the washing machine on for odds and ends, and popped up to the big SM to get the fresh stuff I needed and came home having spent only £8.00 which was quite pleasing, nothing more to buy this week at all foodwise.

then this afternoon I took down the tree and decorations and gave the sitting room a darned good vacuuming and dusting as its not been touched for well over a week.So quite a productive day today washing done and on the airer ,shopping got and packed away sitting room looks more normal, and this afternoon sat and watched the Miranda show that I had recorded
Just going to have chilli chicken(from freezer) with mash, brussels and carrots for dinner. the veg was given to me by DD as she had quite a bit left over so I will use it up before buying anymore.

Tomorrow I have only to buy a birthday card to send off to a friend whose birthday is on Monday,

Hopefully the washing will dry on the airer overnight and I can get it ironed and put away tomorrow.

I also tomorrow want to give my study a good clear out as paperwork seems to accumulate there by itself at times :)

hope everyone is warm and dry as its looks as though it may be a bit frosty tonight. No wonder the baby is staying put :)

    Cheers chums

Hi everyone- I wrote a lovely long message last night only for my internet to go off!
So I was basically wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
We had a lovely Christmas- it was so lovely having little grand daughter with us this year and she was a little star all day. She's been in hospital a few times in the last couple of weeks - she's had bronchiolitis and now has an inhaler. Also coughed so much one day that her feeding tube came out. Another day just pulled it out. Poor DD is back and forth along the A1 like a yo yo. It's her first birthday tomorrow- doesn't seem possible that she's been with us a year already and there's been lots of times I wondered if we'd have her first birthday. She goes into hospital next Tuesday for about a week to have her feeding problems investigated so hopefully we'll get some answers.
Just out the bath so going to dry my hair and make a cuppa
