  • You're only a couple of pound away from your target, with a few days to go.
Focusing on your EF for a while is a good idea. Set goals for that, as you thrive finding ways to reach your targets.

7.86 found so that's this month's tarter smashed with 151.72 out of a 147.58 target, and 2 weeks interest paid for. Be nice to get it up to 175 so will push for that as a stretch target.
In other news, I have finally set up a Lisa for me and have asked hubby to do the same.
Thanks MF, I definitely need to think of some targets that will keep me focused. I find if a monetary amount has something linked to it then it pushes me a bit.

Money shuffle complete so I thought I would report in with some figures and thoughts about October.

Mortgage Bal (when int added) 144,584 which should dip below 144000 when monthly payment taken in the next few days which will mean living room paid and is all mine. I will report back with actual figures when I have them.
    546.78 OP for September
302 interest saved by OPs in Sep
    15658 reduction so far
    8306.09 OP to date
    4804 interest saved to date
14 months payments saved so far
    Daily interest 10.43
Have mad a few purchases this month which have been nice to improve the house but has reduced saving a bit which we need to build up.
I have paid the top up of 336 to the mortgage to keep the term at the original 18 years (before any OPs) but the standard OP of 395.06 has gone towards EF which is 4972.35.  This month my first action is to get that to a nice round 5k, then any other bits I make I think will be directed at the mortgage. Target to be decided when I know the balance after the monthly payments.
Please to report that Lisa's  have been set up for me and hubby.
Busy generally here but hoping to complete our tax returns soon which should fingers crossed provide us with some money back due to ppi.
