We ordered some new blinds today, the quote came in lots cheaper than we thought so I'm really pleased and looking forward to getting them. We looked at 2 houses yesterday and although nice it has further consolidated our idea that we do not want to move.
OH needed some work on his car done but managed to save around 130 on it so pleased with that.
Not much survey wise atm as I have been working the last few days.
We need some plastering done in the house and have had quotes so that may be next in the list.
Not far off saving 14 months so going to try and pickup the pace a bit.

I’m glad you’ve made your decision. I was looking for houses last year and they didn’t come close to my house that I’m in with regards to room sizes and gardens so I decided to stick where I am and bought it off the Housing Association and now I can do what I want to make it perfect!Don’t get me wrong there are millions of better houses but not within my budget so it’s better to make the best of what we can afford than living beyond our means for fancy areas and gardens you’ll never enjoy because you work a million hours a week to pay for it.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Sounds like you made the right call for you. Is there any space eg under the stairs where you could put a downstairs loo or is it completely off the cards?
