Aww that sounds like a lovely way to celebrate a 50th. Very impressed with your make shift bar!You have come a huge way in 11 months, looks like you've made lots of progress and are learning so much along the way that you won't ever get into that situation again.

Morning all,
So today I’ve had default number 2 in the post 😊 it is from Capital One again so no surprise there but glad they are starting to come through. Will get my offer sent off to them over the weekend. Haven’t heard back from my first offer response yet.0 -

So Avant credit replied today to my irresponsible lending complaint and basically said 'Hah! nice try!'. Ah well, at least I tried. Maybe they will default me quicker now that they realise I am in no rush to pay until the default. Can you actually ask a company to default you? I have missed 6 payments now. I don't think that it would go well if I wrote to them and said, I am not paying you a penny until you default me? Maybe I am wrong.0

Very surprised to go home last night and have a letter from Capital One saying they have accepted my payment offer. That was so easy. They said they will review it in 6 months time, but I am guessing it will just be a case of sending them my I&E again. Let's hope all my other creditors are that east to deal with.
Last day in work before a long weekend. Need to catch up on uni work. The last few months have been so challenging that I needed a break from it all. That means my head hasn't been in the game with it for the first 3 weeks of my new modules, but now I feel I have had that break and am ready to tackle it.
We are also having work done in the front garden in a couple of weeks. Basically turning a sloping garden into a flat area with a concrete base, so that we can eventually put a shed/summer house out there. It is going to cost £2.5k but I think it is worth it and will defiantly add value to the house so it is a good investment.
I am off work the first week of August and had booked to go camping down the Gower for the week before coronavirus came. I was contemplating cancelling it during lock down but I am glad that I choose to hold out and see what happens because it looks like it is going to be fine for us to go down. So that is something to look forward to. Just need the weather to be kind now.
No other news really. Work has picked up to full capacity again. Now we have changed our working week to 3 x 12hr shifts, the week goes so fast. I do feel like I am getting more done in a day though but that may be because I am here for longer.

Hi all,
So it's been a week since my last post and quite a lot has happened.
Both my Capital one accounts that were the first to default have both got back to me accepting my DMP payment offer which is great. I have also had a notification from one of the CRA's that a 3rd account has defaulted but I am yet to hear from them directly yet to confirm this.
All other finances are in check. Now that I am setting up DMP payments I really am seeing the benefits of using YNAB. Now I have got 6 months worth of transactions stored, I do not think I could be so organised with all payments coming out on different dates if I was to use a standard spreadsheet because I am useless on Excel.
At home we have had the project out the front garden started. We have had laborers over for the last 2 days digging out 2 skip fulls of soil by hand! No mini diggers. They are part time firemen and do hobbles for a builder who will be doing the block work later down the line. The firemen had been working nights on call and then came and spent 2 full days doing hard labor! I thought they were crazy but apparently one of them is wanting to pay off his mortgage ASAP so does it as a side hustle. Huge respect!
In other news, someone reversed into me in Asda last weekend. Only a dent to my front wing but quite a lot of damage to the connection clips between the front wing and the front bumper. Initially the chap wanted to pay me privately for the repairs to get done but has now decided to go through insurance because the bill could easily reach £1000 now that I need a new wing and bumper. So that is all going on at the moment.
Nothing planned for this weekend, OH has given me a hair cut this morning so saving £120/yr in the barber. May try and get a round of golf in at some point if the weather stays kind.
Hope you are well and getting back to some sort of normality.

I need a helpful fireman to put sealer on my brickwork 😂 my dad was one but at 76, I don't want him up and down ladders anymore! He used to do sidejobs back in the 70's and early 80's he was a bouncer at a club. Saw some fantastic bands free apparently.
And yay to ynab wins! I love it, I know exactly what I can spend at any one time from which category, and don't need all the bills to go out on one day anymore.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1
