Happy Monday! Although the days are merging together somewhat so I had to check that this morning. Ha! At least it's what would have been the Easter hols so we decided to have a break from homework and just had a play today. We even had a playdough designing competition with homemade playdough which went down well
even if I can't do it very well
Finances wise, it's a NSD today. I've not been anywhere and DH hasn't spend anything either. I'm hoping that all the days this week will be NSDs but we'll see. I'm aiming for 20 for April. In theory this should be easy but in practise there's always something you could spend money on.I think I've decided an interim target for our Emergency Fund too. It currently stands at £1,275 and my aim at the moment is to get this to £5,000. It will probably take more than a year of getting there if I continue my investment/ER plan as I have intended it to go. April 13th.Well, I don't know where the time goes! It's not like I'm going anywhere..Still plodding along here. Watched Rich House Poor House this morning and it's given me all sorts of ideas. Must not get distracted from the plan! I would love to work for myself though. Not saying I want to be a millionaire (though I wouldn't complain!) but the idea of being in total control of how much you earn is somewhat appealing. But then I don't know if I could cope with the uncertainty? Definitely given me things to think about though. Not added anything more to the EF, yet.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi - glad you are safe at home. The memories and bonds your family will create now will stand you all in good stead forever. The play dough competition sounded fun. I think building up your EF is a great idea.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I hope so - the novelty has well and truly worn off for our four year old; he's missing his friends and his teacher. It's hard for him to understand

April 21st.Another week at home; I miss my mum. It is tough but I know it's for a good reason. I just need to keep reminding myself of that! The routine is so loosely based on what we're supposed to be doing but trying to get any of the school work set for our four year old is proving more difficult as it goes along.I transferred £23.52 into our EF this morning - we are up to about 27% of our goal. Happy to plod along with this as a side line to our investments. If I can hold my nerve, that is!Another NSD tooBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I think at 4 - they don't need masses. Some jolly phonics videos or similar and a bit of maths and they will soon catch up. You don't even have to legally send your child until 5 I think so don't overstress. In other countries they only start 'work' from 6 and the time before is learning throughplay.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks for that - it's a good point! We are doing little bits but nothing too strenuous.
