In an AJ Bell ISA, the fees for ETF is capped at £30 per year, so in a £50000 portfolio, the 'capped' fee will be £48 not £118. The £100 capped is for SIPP.
I think what we both agree on is that 'Vanguard's platform is not always going to be the cheapest for every combination of holdings', which is something you can say for all providers.  The SIPP from Vanguard at 0.15% with no transaction fees is cheaper than other providers' SIPPs at some values but will end up more expensive for larger ones, and the same is true for ISAs, just the cut-off points are different.

I would have thought only offering their own branded ETF will make it easier to implement live pricing feed but what do I know.

If their customers will only hold a certain subset of all the financial instruments that exist on the stock exchange, then it would likely be easier to implement a live feed for those instruments than for 2000+ different financial instruments.  However, while licensing and implementing a live feed into client reporting for a restricted (but periodically changing) set of stocks is perhaps easier than for a full set of stocks, it is not easier than not doing it at all.
