Oh no! Very good wishes to you and your family redredrobin. Does your husband have any idea where he could have picked up the virus? I hope he recovers quickly.5

Oh that's rubbish Redredrobin. Wishing your DH a speedy recovery and fingers crossed your and DD don't succomb. Yes I can imagine the dog is going stir crazy, you can't explain to them. I remember how ours used to be during lockdown1 when you could only go out once a day. It's taking me ges to write this message as I'm currently playing a game with ours including throwing balls, wrestling them from his mouth (he's part terrier so this is a game!) and having a football match wth him! Mine had definately got excess energy today despite him just going for a walk so feel your pain. Have you got some dog toys to stimulate him whilst youc an't take him out? You don't want chewed up furniture or belongings due to a bored dog adding to problems. Good you have Christmas shopping sorted though, fingers crossed you're all through it in time for Christmas Day.4

@Redredrobin gosh hope he is on the mend soon ready fro Christmas. It really does seem to affect people so differently.
I went online last night to order a small hamper for a friend and found the picking thin. I tried Betty's online bakery and also M&S and most of their hampers had sold out. I guess I should have been more on the ball and realised that in the absence of people travelling to see each other this Christmas, that hampers for delivery would be in demand.
I have just completed a lovely Christmas book by Trisha Ashley which was just perfect for getting in the spirit, with lots part of the book, which is a bit of a rom-com, focusing upon festive customs, food and a bit of cheesy romance thrown in too. I have just downloaded four more for my kindle to read in the run up to Christmas...and beyond probably! I am a keen cook and so this was perfect and I'd be interested if anyone else has any festive books to recommend on the same theme.5 -
Can't help with book suggestions but if anyone is looking for a bit of a cheesy Christmas film. This one on Amazon has my daughter in it as a film extra in her first screen debut. She was asked along with other college mates if she wanted to do it last December. She's in it in the party scene at around 1hr 4 mins top left hand corner. You don't see her face, but she has long brown hair and a blue dress on, blink and you'll miss it, hahaha. She got paid £100 for it which came through several months later, by which time I think she'd 'borrowed' 4 x that amount from me, promising to pay me back when she got her filming money. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11457736/5

Hope DH feels much better soon REDREDROBIN. Do you have a garden so at least you can get outside for a while and try and tire the dog out with ball throwing. I must admit that would never have worked with our little girl. Although she was a Jack Russell you could throw as many balls as you wanted and she’d just look at you as if to say ‘you threw it, you get it’.🤣It's the most wonderful timeof the year :5
