ah,I had to think about that, doh!
Thank you for thinking of that skogar.Lord knows where she would put one, there are plants everywhere. My daughter is green fingered,I over water! I know she needs an extension cable to cut the massive long hedge but I thought perhaps not for Christmas! All her furnture apart from the bed is second hand, scandi style as you can imagine. She has taken a perfectly nice fitted kitchen out and bought an unfitted oak one from ebay.I do like her style but I have streamlined the older i have got.
I am not much of a shopper so this thread is a great help to me.It would never occur to me to look at ikea, but I will now, thanks.
I have my staples out tommorow, can't wait.Mr V has overdone it and has not been too well today.

I have to admit I was thinking about herbs - but more basil type.
and maybe salad leaves type of thing.
Your daughter's house sounds great I would love to replace the dull fitted kitchen here with an oak one but my OH would kill me!I tend to like useful presents rather than more things that are less useful so in the past couple of years I have had a good quality garden fork and post hole spade as presents. (Post hole spade as its about the only thing I can get through the clay soil with.) They have been really useful so maybe that extension lead could be just the thing but it depends on your daughter. Some people like practical presents and others don't think they are presenty enough. They don't seem to have the grow lights in Ikea at the moment but I do like the white swedish christmas star light shades they do near Christmas which you can use with a cable or a stand. You see them loads in people's windows in Sweden - might be nice with a scandi theme. I am tempted.... I'm usually away at Christmas so don't normally decorate.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons6 -

Hi all. Hope we're all well.
Quick update from me. Holiday went well and now we're in full swing Christmas prep.
Managed to grab advent calendars for the kids before lockdown kicked in, and ordered Santa's Rooftop Scramble from smyths (free delivery! Whoop!) for their 1st December box, which is now complete apart from a box of mince pies for myself and hubby.
Started on the presents proper and ordered selection boxes with my Tesco order which arrived yesterday - didn't get the Maltesers one I wanted, but got 2 out of the 3 I need. Next week I plan on getting their 'extras' sorted, so books, Christmas Eve PJs and some stocking fillers, then we're on to presents proper. They will write their letters this afternoon I think. Also have hubby's list finalised so will make a start with that next week too as one of his pressies is a book so i'll add that on to the kids books order.
Had a little windfall on my Tesco as I thought my clubcard expired months ago. I went on to get a new one as I thought it was silly to be missing out on the points etc, and found out I did in fact have a card all along and there was £50 of vouchers on there! That's all the Christmas extras paid for!! So happy as I'd be lying if I said that we were going to be able to get everything on our tiny budget.
Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!
Current Progress -
Debt - Start date 14/4/25 = £14,880.45
Savings Goal = £1000 EF - £0/£1000 = 0%6 -
Promised myself I'd get up and going and start the wrapping today... i am still going to make a start but struggling to find the christmas spirit today. Hope once I start and put a film on I will feel a bit more into it.

Wow result aimeemum.I printed all ours off the other day to use towards some booze and aftershave for gifts and forgot to use them ! Christmas treats nearer the time now.
Beshki I have asked my daughter if there is anything she would like. She says she can't think of anything.I will have alook for a propogator thing.
She may get an extension lead at another time,I like Christmas gifts to be something that you might not buy for yourself.
It is a beautiful day here.I am insisting me n Mr V get out in the sun for a bit.

Christmas boxed cards came today from card factory 3 for 2 and plastic and glitter free they are really nice too. They will last for next year too, bought a couple of Christmas novels and Christmas jigsaws in charity shop on Wednesday which will keep me occupied. Also got a lovely Christmas scented reed diffuser which will put in my hallway at end of month. Hot chocolate station will be coming out tomorrow but will be decorated at end of month.
Hope everyone is doing ok xxx£2 savers club 2025 #2= £483
