That will be 14 days. I thought at first I was free once I got the negative, but because I was in close contact with a positive person, I still had to do 14 days all in.It’s not been too bad. We have watched films and caught up with bake off. We then made jam with raspberries from the allotment, baked scones to put the jam on them. And made leek and potato soup also from the allotment haul. As well as tidying the garden ready for winter. Feel quite content now after my initial anxiety over the whole experience.I’ve ordered some clothes for DS for Christmas, but had to get some for now. Poor boy grew several inches over the summer and seems to have nothing that fits. I did kit him out in July, but it wasn’t enough. And it’s getting a bit chilly for shorts lol. It’s so hard to find decent boys clothes that aren’t joggers/tracksuits! He likes a couple of pairs of joggers for comfort. But he doesn’t wear them all the time. Girls have so many choices of shops to choose from. I’m hoping to get to Primark on Saturday, but I ended up ordering on Very as they seemed to have a not bad selection.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:4

Redrobin glad you got to see your parents - hopefully we will be able to see family over xmas but at the moment who knows at least you know they have their gifts even if you can't be there in person
Nic glad your test came back positive a little annoying you still have to isolate for the full 14 days though best to be on the safe side. Sounds like you've had a productive and fun time though.. I know what you mean about the growth spurts I'm sure it must have been all that sunshine taz has grown 6 inches this yearwasn't a problem while he was living in shorts but all his trousers were too short once the weather changed and like you say boys options have been really limited.
DD popped into town with a friend yesterday and picked me up a disney xmas fleece from primark for the dec 1st box - she said they had a very small selection of xmas stuff out so picked up up in case it went oos before I get there and confirmed the xmas returns policy started yesterday & they are also doing gift receipts.
She said boots have finally started putting out the xmas gifts - I assume to tie in with the fact they are meant to be doing a points event this weekend - £10 of points on £50/£60 spend.
She also picked up some xmas tree baubles from flying tiger - 20pack in all gold / mixed shades of red 50p each
Got an email to say I could order the no7 calendar today - I debated it but decided not to as realistically a lot of the products won't get used so think I might treat myself to something else maybe a nice new perfume? using the points I'd saved for it.
Still really struggling for ideas for ds - teen boys are by far the hardest to buy for and he doesn't really have any interests outside his gaming - which everything for is so expensive. Its mostly padding type gifts I need so he has more than 2/3 presents to open but at the same time I don't like to buy for the sake of it/buy things that won't get used and as the main gifts are so expensive this year I don't want to be spending loads on extras.
Hoping to go pumpkin picking this weekend - my local venue is selling them at just £2 any size

Afternoon all!! New name!! I used to be Weeclick back in the day. What a nightmare Ive had, not been able to log in most of this year, tried a few times, got fed up and left it and kept coming back every few months but it wasnt taking my log in details at all so decided enough is enough and just set up a new account and now spending my afternoons reading back on this thread!
Think we have all had a crazy year and Im sure I will get a chance to exlpain mine further at some point, It involves moving to England with work, lockdown, furlough, redunancy, moved back!! Only been home 5 weeks and now another lockdown for us in Northern Ireland today so that's OH back on furlough from this weekend! Thankfully with such a turbulent few months we've been semi prepared.....the hampers myself, mum and sister make on the side is really taking off, we have more time which means we can be more prepared! Loads of orders coming in for our halloween treats we do for kids which will soften the blow of redunancy and furlough.
We have been working hard to clear my credit and a mortgage broker suggest we go for a mortgage promise this week to see where we are up to but got declined. We are now even more determined to keep chipping away over the next 12 months to be ready!
Anyway, away back to read through this years adventures with you all (Im currently on page 9!)h and my insta is @losingwithlyns if I could please be added!!6 -
Bought a book from my mum on hive it was a new release and was on offer from there and got 60p cashback. I got my gingerbread men from HB for my hot chocolate station on offer for 79p they come in packs of three and 30 in the bag. So will keep fresher for longer. I got three Christmas paperbacks in the works 3 for £5.00 so will start them after Halloween. I’ve got a nice collection now of Christmas books incase of a lockdown, mostly from charity shops. My heated blanket came today so if I have a loss of heating like last year I will be warm, Sherpa lined too.
I cant seem to find galaxy selection boxes anywhere down here only finding Cadbury which is a little odd. Lisa angel are having a sale and the advent calendar is reduced on there too (can’t remember if someone has already said this). Hope everyone is ok? Sorry I’ve not been posting much but keep getting locked out of my account.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £488 -
Got 2 more things for my food stash in my Tesco delivery today - stuffing and a box of matchmakers
- and ordered a book for the kids off ebay to go in the 1st December Box. I need to make a start on it properly as soon as half term is over.

Treasurequeen - Where have you tried for te galaxy selection boxes. I'm sure I've seen them but slightly different to previous years. I used to buy them for my Nephew, but he turned 19 earlier this year so no longer buy. I will check nextt ime I'm out.
I do think different areas are getting more stock though than others. I went to 5 different B & Ms earier this week. Not one had the chilli sauce advent calendar.7 -
welcome back irishninja -sorry to hear things didn't work out with the move/job. Glad your hampers & halloween treats are a hit and helping tide you over.
Treasure queen - the galaxy selection boxes have been pretty hard to find - not sure if it was because they were on offer but only found them in 1 of 4 tesco's we tried and that was an express store. FIngers crossed the heating holds out this year but the heated fleece sound like a great idea regardless - I really love the sherpa backed fleeces they are so warm & snuggly.
Chanie thanks for the heads up re TU I was going to order some bits so will wait till next week.
Boots are doing the points event till Monday - I ordered a couple of 3 for 2 & 1/2 price gifts and a few of the £5 friday benefit minis for dd. They are also doing buy one get one half price on cough/cold products so stocked up on a few items.
Need to find something else to get dd for xmas as I was planning on getting her a new fitbit as her current one is pretty old - I was just holding out for a decent deal as I figured they would probably be on offer during the prime event/black friday however she had the same idea and brought one herself so back to the drawing board.
Argos & sains have some toys upto 1/2 price though the selection is tiny compare to the sale they have done previous years. and its mostly stuff for younger kids.

Evening everyone
Hope you’re well and enjoying Christmas prep.I’ve picked up a few more bits- I ordered OH’s Countryfile calendar last weekend and it arrived yesterday. I’ve also ordered him three polo shirts- a plain one from Jacamo, a Lyle and Scott one and a Levi’s one. They’re all longer length as I’m sick of seeing him wearing too short polo shirts! I’ve also ordered some Prosecco for my sister and.. a bread maker for my mum. She’s been baking bread quite regularly in the oven and so I thought a bread maker might make it a bit easier for her. I hadn’t planned to get her anything quite so major but it was a good price and I couldn’t resist!I also took advantage of the Boots points event. I bought OH a new electric toothbrush as his is manky and I got one for myself too, along with a pack of eight brush heads (2 x 4) and a pack of three tubes of the Oral B toothpaste OH likes. All were on offer as there were offers on dental, and it came to just over £60 so I got the points too.I’ve also set the wheels in motion for my friend’s present- my brother in law is an artist and his speciality is pet portraits, so I’ve asked him to draw my friend’s Staffie and I’m going to give her the picture for Christmas. I’ve sent the photos over and he’s going to make a start next week when he finishes his current commission. It’s all coming together at last!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.205
