And I hope they both will - the really funny thing is that I spoke to each of them separately by phone, and asked if they thought the other one might like ankle-warmers, and each of them jumped at it saying how good an idea they thought it was - but the way I described them to Mum was very much plain and simple like Dad's, and the way I described them to Dad was very fun and frivolous like Mum's, so I'm reasonably sure neither of them is expecting their own ones, only the other one's!
Mwahaha...
And enough of Mum's for some arm-warmers too, just tubes to match but with a thumb-slit; for Dad, I'll use some plain greys, dark, mid and pale, as he does love greys. But I'll knit those slowly and send them for Xmas - the ankle-warmers are for straight away!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Laura, the ankle warmers have turned out beautifully.
My skirt arrived from Celtic Sheepskin. It looks lovely and it fits. I just have to work out whether it goes with any of my jackets. (Need a day with good light for that.). If my luck is true to form, we shall now experience a heatwave so that I won’t get to wear it for several months.

The lovely looking cream/oatmeal cable knit jumper for autumn winter still hadn't arrived. Sent two messages, 3 days apart. Was paid for on the 30th. No replies. So begrudgingly opened a case, got a reply to say 'Sorry I haven't posted it. Can send it tomorrow if you actually still want it, or I can just refund it' - as if she's doing me a favour to send something I've paid for?! Grrrrrr
Less than impressed so replied to say if you weren't going to be able to post it for a while a message to let me know would have been nice as I would have waited with some communication, so please refund me.

Laura, have you already bought the beads for your shawl? Only when we needed costumes to catch the light and sparkle on stage, we had to use AB Crystals - other colours and beads didn't have the same impact. You might want to invest a few, and experiment first, if you haven't already got the beads. I appreciate that Swarovski beads are not cheap, but as you say, it is for your wedding after all!..Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.

I've got quite a few different lots of beads, as friends kindly sent me some - but it's (thankfully!) not needing to do anything much at a distance, and it's a lot easier to get that kind of effect when it's only people in the same room seeing it! Mostly, they are glass rocaille, some with a silver lining to the hole, but I may well buy some rich-deep-crimson Swarovski anyway, just for the luxuriousness...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Just FYI, if your teens can’t remember instructions, do NOT let them use your cast iron. I swear they’re trying to destroy it between the 2 of them. One of them cooked on high, which they’ve been specifically told not to do, and the other cleaned it with a steel wool Brillo pad and removed all the seasoning.2023 Fashion on the Ration: Start with 66.
