  • That shawl is going to be absolutely stunning Laura. As you say, you are only getting married once!

Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.
  • Er.... only if I wanted people to think I had forgotten to add my shirt or top when I got dressed this morning!

    Gorgeous as undies, mind you...

And later on, it looks very peculiar worn (the white version) over a round-neck knit jumper...?!

I totally agree.  And totally unsuitable for a work environment.

You might wear it as top if you went out clubbing, but that'd just mark you out as "easy" and invite the wrong kind of attention.  Given that 15% of sales is to go to a charity supporting women's shelters, I thought that was highly inappropriate.   (Sorry, I was married to a groper, once upon a time.  I've yet to meet anyone sleazier than my ex, after he'd been drinking.)

  • I have just finished knitting my Aged Parents' ankle-warmers, so can post them off next week and they will open their Xmas presents on delivery and have nice cosy ankles all autumn as well as in winter!

Dad's are knee-high and shaped, and will fit his slimmer legs better than mine; Mum's are designed to slouch round her ankles in colourful stripes bulging out in purl between snug-fitting deep-pink ribbed stripes.

And no coupons as I secretly talked Dad into using his coupons for Mum's, and Mum into using her coup[ons for Dad's, mwahaha!

    Laura you are amazing!
The shawl is beautiful, and I'm sure your parents will love the legwarmers. They are such a good idea.
