We've finally put up the tree today! Little jwil was back at his swimming lessons today and little miss tomorrow. They are very glad to be back.
Little jwil has broken the screen on his tablet today. We phoned a couple of places to find out how much a repair was and it wasn't far off buying a new one. We also looked at a video to try and do it ourselves, but no chance! I got in touch with the rainforest people to see if I could get a discount on a new one, and they've given me a returns label for it and will send a replacement free of charge. I can't complain about that! I know they do unquestioned replacements for two years on the kids tablets, but this was just a standard one so I wasn't expecting anything.
Little miss has written a letter to Father Christmas today. It was very sweet. I'm so impressed how quickly they learn to read and write. She's made such a good effort and although it's spelt phonically, it's understandable.
Santr,
Yoo can choos (she wants a surprise)

Hello everyone, hope all is well
Another busy week this week. DH has been back to work so it's been nice and quiet at home. I've made a point of taking a 2 hr lunchbreak for two days this week as I didn't have any meetings scheduled, and it was lovely just to potter around. I've done all the Christmas cards now so they are all in the post (mostly elderly relatives who are not on social media). I've put up the final few decorations as well, so think I'm pretty much organised. We have most of the treats in, so it's just the last minute fresh food that needs to be done. The cupboards are all well stocked ahead of any Brexit related disasters/panic buying as well.
DH and I finished watching the box set of Cold Feet so that's now ready to go. We then realised that it had come back for some more series. It's on Britbox, so whilst looking for a trial on there so we could catch up with the newer series, I discovered that I can get it free for 6 months with BT broadband. So that will give us plenty of time to watch anything on there we want, and then I can cancel it before I start getting charged.
I'm full of anxiety this week, not sure why, so am looking forward to my two weeks off. DH is looking like he will be furloughed again next week, but we'll just take it as it comes. It's likely he'll be in and out again for the foreseeable.
Today I have ordered a case for the replacement tablet. It looks like it will be on it's way back soon. I have learnt that lesson!
I have also done my financial spreadsheet for next year. It's all about the savings"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5
