Morning world
Did MadFit's stretching video last night designed for the inflexible as I want to work on my flexibility, my gosh I really am inflexiblehad wanted to do a face mask but dinner was a disaster, OH forgot I wanted him to start boiling the new pots, so set some timers on the Alexa for me to start boiling them and for the pie to cook in the oven, dunno what happened to my timer to go and boil the new pots, but went out for the hour timer for the pie and OH had set the oven at 250 degrees and not 200 so the pastry was rock solid. Sigh. He went to the chippy and got stuff for dinner, his treat as he ruined dinner
so, that all took much longer than expected so by the time I had done my stretching stuff and had a shower it was time to go to bed.
Up this morning somewhat reluctantly, so the 10 minute "roll out of bed" workout was my go-to exercise this morning. Had breakfast ready but brought it to work as we are out of skimmed milk at home but I have some at work. OH prefers semi-skimmed so that is what is left in the fridge until the milkman does the delivery.
My TCB claim is still waiting for retailer. Oh, plusnet finally sent me my final bill for leaving them early (only took 3/4 months) and it's about £130, which is much less than it should be so they've evidently done some discounting before sending the final bill. That's due to come out in a week but I'm sure I've read that you can set up a payment plan for it which I may take advantage of as 7 days notice is a lot less than I was expecting.
Sorted the flea and worming stuff included in our plan with the vet, OH is collecting tomorrow. Thankfully for the worming stuff he is now heavy enough to have the spot-on rather than the syrup, he was not my friend after having that last time
Not much else to report, really. Keeping spending to a minimum where possible!

Morning everyone!
Plodding along again, getting a good few hours of SE work in this week so jumping on it whilst it is there. Not a NSD as I ordered a toy for the kitten from Amazon, as I worry he gets a bit bored sometimes. He is slowly losing interest in wires etc and tries to follow me to our bedroom and the kitchen so think he is almost completely settled. He will have access to both rooms when we have kitten-proofed them, I need a way to tidy my wires in our bedroom and the kitchen needs some offcuts to block out missing gaps in the cupboards/plinths so he can't get under there, then he can roam free. The toy was £10 from Amazon so not too expensive and I had been looking at the same one on the Argos website but not able to order it. I do fuss and play with him a lot but I still think he gets bored sometimeshe does seem to have caught the eye of a big cat that we've never seen in our garden before, but now likes to sit and stare through the door at him!
I am popping to Wilko later to get some bits for my Nan that weren't in Tesco, and will also get a few toiletries but will take those out of the grocery budget as they were originally on my click & collect order but I have ran out earlier than expected. I will also see if they have any cheap plant pots as my tomato plant is rapidly outgrowing its current pot and needs to go outside, my chilli plant will also follow suit soon.
We are going to be attempting to make bread this weekend, if it comes out well it's something I could really get behind doing regularly as something to keep me occupied at the weekends for a bit when OH goes back to work. We tried naan breads the other night but they came out more like pitta bread, so trying a different recipe this weekend.
Nothing else at all to report so just going to keep plodding along with work until lunch time

Don't be tempted to put your plants outside overnight yet. We're forecast a very big drop in temperatures this weekend and could easily kill your plants. Try hardening them off gradually this week and then hopefully the temperatures will be better next week and you'll be able to put them out without problems.

How nice of you to put plants out for passersby. I'm debating what to put out and what to leave in too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Happy Monday! I don't think I logged onto my computer once all weekend
I did however have a second go at making naan breads with a different recipe, and they were very tasty! Then yesterday I baked a loaf of bread, so I am pleased with my accomplishments for the weekend.
The kitten had a VERY naughty episode yesterday which involved lots of biting and scratching, but I think he sensed he was in trouble as he came and sat by my head and gently pawed my hair, then gave my face some licks and then curled up and fell asleep on me. It's also the first night he fell asleep on our bed instead of going skitzo and having to be put outside, although I did have to do so at some point in the early hours, but progress is progress.
Weighed myself this morning and discovered I have a whopping 17 pounds to lose to get to my goal weight
It's frustrating as I can't do the exercises that I know would be really effective such as running and HIIT, so slow and steady it is, as I have no other choice! I just have to continue to sit and wait patiently for my injection appointment.
Not much else to report, should get paid for the SE work mid-week and repay OH in full. Car insurance is set to come out monthly with the existing insurance company as they were the best deal but it did go up, presumably because of my windscreen claims even though they're not supposed to affect anything.
Need to pick up prescriptions for me and my nan today, plus do her shopping, so no rest for the wicked today!3 -
Morning everyone
Yesterday all of my attention was focused on a weight loss program/plan/routine, so I gave myself the day off from checking the forum and doing any SE work, and basically went down a reddit-hole going through all of their forums about weight loss and progress photos etc and gave myself a weekly routine of exercise/stretching to hopefully get into the habit of doing, which looks like:
Monday: No Impact workout
Tuesday: Yoga
Wednesday: Upper body/ab workouts
Thursday: Yoga
Friday: No Impact Workout
Saturday: Flexibility/Stretching Workout
Sunday: Weights Workout
All bar Sunday are YouTube workout videos from MadFit, and I did the no impact workout yesterday which was surprisingly difficult. The weights workout - we have a barbell and hand weights you can add/remove plates to/from, so should be able to do a decent home workout.
I think it's feasible, especially as the yoga ones are only around 20 minutes and should help keep me stretched in between the other workouts. I should be able to get at least a few done at work on my lunch breaks, too, so should be able to fit some walking into the evenings with OH to help, too.
Today's focus is going to be on getting SE work done, and this afternoon I will catch up on diaries and challenges x3 -
Hey,
Hope you are doing well 😊 How is the kitten settling and how are you feeling with having a pet, I know you were super excited.
I feel your frustration with the pain that is affecting you from exercise but hopefully the tiny amount you can do will all help. It certainly looks like you have a good plan in place to cover the exercise so sticking with that should see some progress, then once the foot gets better you can increase the intensity. I must admit other than a little running I have not done anywhere near enough exercise since the whole lockdown thing occurred, this needs to change! Ha
Hope you are keeping safe. xx

he still doesn't make any noise, just an occasional squeak now and then, so hopefully he finds a bit of a voice soon
Yeah I tried to make it sustainable which seems to have worked as yesterday I could gear myself up to do 20 minutes of yoga but I doubt I would have made myself do a full on workout, so seems to have workeda little running is better than no exercise! X
