Hello Ladies,
Honestly this 2nd lockdown seems so ineffectual. There are still so many people everywhere and there is so much traffic, that there is no reduction in air pollution, this time around. The queues have started outside almost every supermarket, so as I wanted to do some top up grocery shopping in Lidl, I had my bath really early and headed out. I was glad not to have to queue as Lidl in Peckham was not busy at that time of the morning.
I have booked my Christmas/New Year online grocery shopping slot and shopping for Christmas Eve. There were only a few slots left, so I was really pleased to get my usual time slot.Apparently there was huge demand for the slots which caused a massive hours long virtual online queue last night, but I did not bother to attempt to get a slot until this morning, so I missed all of that kerfuffle.

That is a shame LL. If you start a blog you will have to come back here so we can know how to follow you!
I have been feeling blah. I'm so sick of this situation dragging on for so long. It's that and the darker days as well. I can't seem to shake that stomach bug/ norovirus I had. I felt better and then worse. I'm wondering if it was Covid as some younger people get Covid as a stomach bug. I did a 24 hour water fast and that didn't even work. I'm doing a 10 day parasite cleanse again and the tablets are so disgusting. I'm hoping that will do the trick. It reminds me of when I had swine flu as that dragged on forever!
I did wear those leggings I bought from Asda this week with a blue jumper and brown boots for my walk. I do like the leggings as they are as comfortable as pyjama bottoms as they are quite loose fitting despite being quite slim in shape.
I ordered some new slippers and some incense sticks to make my life at home more cosy. We did watch a good film on my husband's 50th birthday. It made me wonder what the situation will be like on my birthday next March. I can't see anything going back to normal by then.
I've been listening to music all day today. That usually lifts my mood but all I keep thinking is when will concerts come back properly.
Oh well. Not a very positive post.8 -
Sorry to hear that LL, you have helped me on here and in private messages when I lost Mick. I hope that you will return at some point but onlly if you want to! I don't post everyday, but like to read everyone's post. I can honestly say that you all cheer me up, especially in these lonely and difficult times. On a good note my lovely new limestone fireplace/fire was fitted today. My Daughter came down as I was at work. It looks lovely with the lights on. Just the carpet and decorating now!
