  • You have me craving mince and tattles, haven’t had that in so long. It’s probably pretty healthy too, my mum always used to put loads of carrots and peas in.

Finished the shredding and was also able to take it out thanks to the newly emptied recycle bin - glad to get that marked off the list, so thanks!

Some great targets and great achievements in your list. You seem to have a good balance between money saving and social.

Organisation and planning seem to be the key (keys?). When I'm organised and plan in advance everything seems to go smoothly :)

Yeah I love mince and tatties. Mine was carrots and sweetcorn as I'm a bit afraid of peas (choked on one once). I splashed out and bought the good mince too.
I'm so impressed with you! I need to get the shredding back on track. I'm certain I have less than 50% left to do. That's my mission for Thursday as I'm home late today and will be late again tomorrow.

Did a grocery shop today. The only thing that fell into the basket (from LMG's slippery fingers) was a carton of pineapple juice for £1. I let her off. Everything else was on the list and included items that will last a fortnight, last more than one meal (pasta) and also some medical supplies. This is for the meal plan to (including) Sunday. Total cost £37.80. £121 left in cash grocery budget, £32.50 left on Asda card.

    Financially:
    - £2 account reward sent to holding account so total now £114.08.

    That's it today.
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

Yes, I guess it is :)

Busy day today. I'm trying to get back into studying again so stayed longer at work purely for studying reasons. It was hard getting going but once I got focused it was all good. Just have to get a routine going.

I bought a cup a soup as a convenience for work (only for necessary days as I'm not a big fan) and I had picked up the wrong one. Managed to take it back and get it swapped today.

Got a payment from CMS today which has reminded me that I need to call them to advise that LMG is no longer at college. It's on my to do list. LMG is still owed arrears but I can't see that coming any time soon.

    Financially:
    - £9.71 from CMS to holding account. Account balance now £123.79.
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

I'm struggling a bit with the new forum.  I can't see dates so can't see when I posted what. Another two busy days at work but that's month end complete from my side of things so it should quieten down next week.  I'm glad it's Friday.

Got my niece staying over tomorrow night which really takes up the whole weekend so won't get anything done this weekend.

    Financially:
    - the last dd of the month has now left the account.
    - went out for lunch with friends from work.  I allowed £20 but only spent £10 so I've put the unused £10 in the drawer with the leftover table sale money and I'm counting it towards this month's target.  Total so far in holding account £133.79
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.

Hi GAP - in the green band above a post it shows the date. I too struggled with that - sometimes it seems clearer than others - could just be me. Well done on having so much in your 'holding account'. Hope you have a fab time with your niece. Are you planning anything special?

I definitely can't see dates.  Next time I go on the laptop I'll have a look as it's maybe just a problem on my phone.

I've only got so much in the holding account because I pay my council tax over 10 months so £100 is from that.

We are all going out as usual tomorrow then my sis is heading off early for her evening out.  We will stay with my Mum for the afternoon then head home about teatime.  LMG is off tomorrow so will be joining us.  My boyfriend might pop up with one or both of his daughters and have tea with us too and they'll play with the wee one (she's 3).  No plans for Sunday yet as I'm usually exhausted by morning haha.  It's not a late one for my sis so she'll probably head to us in the morning.

I know but it's only because of the council tax free month this month (and next).

I can't see dates on any posts, old or new.  I'll check when I next have the laptop on.  The smileys are not working for me either :(

 ok they do sometimes.  I pressed the : key and it came up with a list. Smile wasn't on it but I typed s next so ":s" without the "" and that came up with a new list which had the smile on it.  Hope that helps.  Really miss User CP :disappointed:
