I’m fine thank you, I have been advised by the person I have paid to write my defence not to post any specifics about my case on MSE. Thanks anyway though.
Did the person contact you by private message?

Did you not think to ask us first - or check Trustpilot?

Morning,

Yes I was contacted by a person who runs a private parking company defending service, apparently they are experts in these things and they say if I post on MSE the CST Law lawyers will read it and potentially use it against me at the court hearing.

OH DEAR, your decision ????
All the legals read this forum, they have to so they can understand their mistakes.

As the forum tells the truth they cannot use this against you
It was tried by one legal a couple of years ago .... they failed
However, maybe CST don't read this forum as they sure as hell don't understand abuse of process and the fake £60

CST get to read it weeks before a hearing anyway. I have a feeling they aren't the most professional of outfits with advice like that.

Did you check them out at all?

Oh dear. There are NO EXPERTS running appeals companies, Jeez!!

Trustpilot exists to stop people believing such stuff without checking the company out.

Were they touting by private message on this forum, if so, which username? They nee reporting:
I was contacted by a person who runs a private parking company defending service,

How could ANYONE on this forum, fall for that and not tell us/ask us first? If it's the worst company, they will aggressively threaten you if they know you are posting here and are 'run' by horrendous people. Sadly the good guys left.

If you check the profile of the forum name that PMd you, how many posts do they have and when did they join?

We always warn about people receiving unsolicited PMs, and to check with the forum first as to whether that forum ID can be trusted. If the forum ID doesn't have at least, say, 2k+ posts then the recipient should check with the forum - especially if the recipient already has a thread running. (There are trustworthy people with <2k posts - that's why you should ask).

PS - I believe touting for business via PM is against forum rules.

I very much doubt that they are "experts" OP. I fear that you can kiss your money goodbye. So many of these companies have gone to the wall.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
