Three 3 PAYG Bills?

I am on the 321 plan with Three but often run out of credit during calls, I would like to see an itemised bill showing where my credit went - is this possible please?

It seems quite scandalous that Three are not making this information easily accessible.

  • Three do not make it available and I seem to recall that when they have been questioned about it in the past they have claimed that it would cause data protection issues.

I know you can get call records on Vodafone PAYG but I don't know about EE, O2 or MVNO's.

If you're running out of credit during calls that implies you're either not putting enough on it in the first place (IIRC the minimum topup is £5 which at 3ppm is the best part of 167hrs worth of talking) or you're using an obscene amount of data - you may not realise you're using data, you might want to check that.

Your phone should also have records in the call log as to how many calls you've made, when and for long. Might give you something to go on.

You can register your PAYG in My3 account and check your remaining balance at any time, it will not give a call breakdown.

My3 tracks data costs out of allowances if that is the problem.

Worth analysing your use cases as the 321 may not be be best option.

If I know I am going to be away from wifi I use topups or addons, internet daily(50p 120MB) handy for short periods, or sometimes a monthly one.

    £5 which at 3ppm = 166mins = 2hours 46mins.

If you are often running out of credit it may be worth considering a cheap monthly contract that provides an adequate or even unlimited call allowance.

If you look at the cheap sim only deals section within Utilities and Phones you will find that Vodafone currently offers unlimited minutes and texts with 1.5GB data for £6 per month. This is limited to the UK only.

    Smarty?

Effectively a fiver a month for 'unlimited' calls and text messages to ordinary 'UK' landline and mobile numbers. Free picture messages too. Data costs £1.25 per GByte. It uses the 3 network and you can view calls, message and data logs online.

My guess is that (background) data use is eating in to OP's credit.

OP mentions credit running out during calls. Another possibility is that they're making calls to numbers that cost more than 3p per minute to call.

Assuming they're not topping up with a fiver and expecting to chat away endlessly of course.

    321 tariff.

Edit to add: lots of cheap contracts at 'no cost mobiles', starting a £3.50 a month for unlimited calls and texts. Free basic phone too, but minimum term is for 24 months and to get the deals punters have to faff around claiming cashback.

Is there a 3rd party app that could track my usage/spending when on PAYG with Three please? It is poor transparency for them not to show the user this information.

With new 3 pricing many will be better moving to a monthly contract.

Yeah it's not as good as before. I spent £10 in the last 8 months though, so PAYG still the play for me.

It's only a month on the new rates that spend rate might change
