    I note your concerns. All very good points. And yes, we checked all the service history etc. Mileage is genuine.
    Decided not to go for it in the end as I came to the realization that it only has 4 seats. I need 5. Aw well.

    Bit late as you are not buying it but it might help someone else, you can get a new lock on ebay for just over £20.


    this is what the seller put on the listing.


    1x Brand NEW Nissan Pixo Tailgate Lock
    Comes with 2 new keys
    You could either re-tumble the lock to your current key blade or just use one key to start your car engine and 1 key to access the boot.
    Part Number - 82500M68851
    The original locks from the factory are VERY prone to ceasing and rusting

    Academic as you aren't buying it but my daughter had a Pixo and had exactly the same issue.


    I wasn't sure at the time if the boot lock was originally made of cheese or if the boot had been replaced.


    When I looked around on the tinternet it seemed to be a common issue.


    We just left it and used the inside catch to open the boot.
    Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???
