Aaargh, conflicting viewpoints 🤣! I will have a browse around and see what I think (can you just browse without signing up???)
However the major first-world problem is now that my laptop seems to have given up on me, rendering the uploading of CV's etc impossible - talk about picking your moments! After 2.5 hours of the hard drive going through a refresh procedure and then re-downloading the app (which then wasn't working), I have finally managed to send my barcodes to S&S via their web page before the midnight deadline (because obvs that's the most important thing in my life right now 🤔). I now appear to have no photos (fortunately backed up on dongles), no Google Chrome (easily fixed) and no iTunes (again, can fix as it's all on my iPod, but definitely need to be awake for that one and not attempt it at this hour so I don't c*ck it up and wipe the iPod). And all because the flipping thing wouldn't get past the start-up menu 😮! Whilst I would gladly throw it out of the window, as we have never really hit it off in our 6-year relationship together (and it would give BF yet another opportunity to rave about how great iPads are and to despair at me yet again when I insist I don't want one), I really don't want to be buying a new laptop right now! Especially as I barely use the thing normally ☹ *Sigh* I will try again tomorrow (probably), but my number one priority is going to be going for a walk - I think the fresh air and thinking time will probably do me good!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Oh dear, speak about bad timing!
Do you have an old one you can dig out and use for a bit, or does your BF have one you can borrow for your applications? It's never fun having to buy something like that under time pressure.

FYI (And fairly irrelevant), but the cut-off for S&S barcodes is 9am on Monday... FOTG submissions do have to be in by midnight though.
Very annoying timing from your laptop though!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks ladies, that's useful to know about S&S Vix - I was sure I'd seen that something was midnight! No old laptops I'm afraid, the last one completely died before I replaced it, and of course BF and I have both handed back our work ones now 🙄
Still, better timing than when I was mid-way through my dissertation and vodka got spilled on one....😮 I pitched up at the shop and declared to the salesperson "I need a laptop and I need it NOW!"
This morning's weather is not boding well for going for a walk (ie it's not even properly light yet). My weather app says it's not due to rain again until 11.00am, but given my current track record with technology I'm not sure how inclined I am to believe it (or am I just looking for excuses to get out of doing some exercise 🙁?)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I’m sure they claim that, but we’ve found you don’t get the hassley email if you transmit before 9 on a Monday.
Get out there for a walk - you know you’ll feel better for it!! (I’m going for one later with some friends - it’s raining now, due to rain all day, so that’ll be fun!).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I did! Straight after I typed that I decided I was making excuses, so got out and managed to get round and back home about half an hour before it started raining again. Very windy, I consider my cobwebs well and truly blown away 🤣!
Got back and discovered my wage slip had been emailed to me and I'm getting the full amount tomorrow (work had been a bit vague about what would be paid and when), so have just being doing some enjoyable hard maths about what needs to go where and setting up transfers etc. Some will definitely be going towards the mortgage over the next few weeks....😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Laptop mostly behaving this afternoon, so have downloaded Chrome again, registered with one agency and applied for a job, registered with another agency, and set up a job alert with another. That will do for today, just thought I'd make the most of a working laptop while it lasted!Ooh, I also forgot to report how I got on with the grocery shopping over the 5-weekend month! Final total (including wine) came in at £107.75, so well chuffed with that - especially as I didn't realise it was a 5-weeker until part-way through 😀🥳! I've even managed to carry enough food forward into the new period that I don't need to shop until Friday pm (sticking to the weekends-only plan). Standard £100 budget allocated again this monthMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
